My first meter malfunctioned in less than 24 hours. Unit will no longer power on. My replacement unit died in under 1 hour. I wanted to like this, as it is advertised as a continuous monitor displaying pH and EC values at the same time. Sent several messages to the seller describing the problem and asking for troubleshooting steps, but no response. Rather then trying my luck on a 3rd unit, I just had my money refunded. Maybe there was a bad batch of this meter and I got two of them ??

So it does drift from time to time, and you do need to brush off the probe regularly to keep it functioning well (I just use an old toothbrush with nothing on it to scrub it) but overall it definitely lets you keep track of what's going on, you can monitor your reservoir temperature, and your PPM is usually very accurate. PH tends to drift a bit, but if you use another pH meter to check it, you'll find where it drifts and kind of know where you're at. For me, I've noticed that the pH is more accurate at higher PPMs, but when the PPMs drop with my particular brand of fertilizer, the pH doesn't track very well on this probe. This is not a precision tool necessarily, but a long-term monitoring tool that does what it's supposed to at a very fair price.The app could be a whole lot better for sure, definitely bare minimum, but hey this is a very inexpensive tool and it does seem to work well. I've been using it on my grow now for 3 months and it hasn't had any problems.

Now the accuracy omg perfect because it’s build quality is through the roof! So it made it easy to use because I never had to clean it that often.So just drop and forget about it for a couple months

I used this water monitor for my last hydroponic cannabis grow and it performed well. I did have an issue with the probe not calibrating, but once I contacted customer service, they sent me a new unit. There is no such thing as a perfect meter, but at least you know you can depend on this company to help when something goes wrong. To improve the accuracy and performance, it is important to clean the probe and re-calibrate it often. I did this every time I did a rez swap (once a week or once every two weeks) and the meter worked great! I love that it is WiFi and I can see what is going on in my grow room without having to be in my grow room. There are more expensive units on the market, but if you read the reviews, they have the same issues. Spend less!

I have a hydroponics tub I use this with. I also own Blue Labs pH and EC measuring tools. The YINMIK monitor matches the same readings as my Blue Labs pens initially but falls off quickly. This monitor is convenient and has a lot of readings. I did NOT download the app so I am happy that this monitor works great without needing to get the app and did not require the app to function.The accuracy of the probe seems to have already started falling off after a week for both the pH and EC compared to the readings of my blue labs pens. They are still close though but off by a few tenths. I like how it comes with calibration liquid for pH but unfortunately it does not come with any calibration for the EC. I wish it did instead of having buyers just trust that calibration from factory is accurate. I had to get a new one of these monitors because the first one they sent, the power supply was faulty. Wish it had a screen dim feature when not actively in use but it does not so glows green constantly.

Of course it failed at the worst possible time. Was easy to setup and use, the app is nice but the probe and unit are bad or will go bad in a short time. It is cheaply made. Wish it were better but units that work properly in this segment cost more. Guess I am ponying up to buy more expensive. Sure wish I didn't waste money on this first! So, you have been warned. At least you got notice I didn't have. This will fail within a few months, if you choose this path, get a backup. And Good Luck if you think contacting the company will help.
