Aleene’s — A Top Quality Glue for Whatever the Project!
Aleene’s 94830 Jewelry & Metal Glue; 3-Pack of 0.1 ounce tubes. This Aleene’s instant adhesive is a top quality product at a very competitive price. Look no further, this brand instant glue is quick and easy to use and leaves a strong bond. I build miniature 3D metal models that are extremely tiny and very delicate. I use this Aleene’s Jewelry & Metal Glue when the parts don’t want to necessarily line up, stay tightly in place or when something definitely goes wrong. These model parts are made out of extremely thin sheets of metal. Being that I use different size pliers to shape and manipulate the extremely tiny parts, sometimes things can and will go wrong. Each model is different, but I always seem to find myself needing to use this glue on some part of my model builds. This glue is a little different than your usual instant glue — it dries clear without the usual hazing you get from other glues. Also, it bonds almost instantly, but part of the glue still stays somewhat wet for a few minutes longer as well — so be sure not to touch the bonded joint right away. Maybe that’s their trick to it drying clear — an instant bond with a slower flash point??? This Jewelry & Metal glue is in gel form, which makes it easier to apply and it keeps the glue where you want it. Depending on how thick you apply the glue, it will change how quickly it totally dries. I have also tried to use “Zip Kicker” (CA Accelerator) with this glue, but I didn’t like the results — it seemed to get a bit messy, instead of speeding up the drying time. If you think you might want to try to use accelerator, or feel you need to use it, I would suggest to try testing it on something that really doesn’t matter first. That way, if something does go wrong, it’s no loss. I found it easier to just put a dab of this glue on a scrap piece of cardboard and then quickly apply the glue with a sharp toothpick to really be able to apply it in the smallest of places. This glue has really been a big help — my model builds and projects are that much better and go together with a bit more ease! Because of this glue, my models are built to perfection, and it makes working on delicate projects much more enjoyable by avoiding the frustrations of not having the proper adhesive for the job at hand. I too have had the caps get stuck on the larger 0.7 ounce tubes before the tube is finished as other reviewers have stated. This is the only issue I’ve had so far with this glue. I usually end up buying another tube with another cap and use that cap on the original tube I started with to finish the tube. I might try taking the whole cap completely off each time and put a dab of glue on the cardboard that way. Not sure if it will make a difference, but it’s worth a try. But, since I have experienced some issue with the larger Aleene's Jewelry & Metal Glue 0.7 ounce tubes like others have, I was hoping that maybe having less glue at a time with these 0.1 ounce tubes will actually work better and won’t end up wasting as much. I haven’t tried these smaller tubes yet, but we shall see if there will be a difference soon enough! Either way, next time you are shopping for an instant glue, skip over all of those other glues, and pick up a tube or two of Aleene’s brand glue. Because of the many differences in each glue and types of materials out there, it might be best to first go to the Aleene’s website and compare each listing for each type of glue. Pay close attention to each description — not all glues are the same. Although many of their glues will look similar, there are sometimes very subtle differences in the way they are applied, the time it takes to dry and other important factors. These differences in the glues are just as important as to which tools you use on your project. I’ve stopped using other brand glues for my projects, and You Should Too!

Great Product
I bought this glue when the moonstone fell out of my silver ring. It has sentimental value and a friend told me to look for this glue. It worked immensely! Bonded the stone back into the setting within seconds. I have since used it to repair an art piece someone gave me that is made from fish bone and it worked just as well. Great product!

BOUGHT FOR JEWELRY PROJECTS!
Since I’m piecing my way through jewelry making I bought this Glue on the suggestion of a Teacher. The suggestion was, after tying the knot four times a drop of glue can be placed on the knot to further secure it. Yesterday, after tying the knots on my “sample bracelet” I went to secure the it with this Glue. I learned fast not to squeeze on the tube before I’m ready to secure the knot and to keep my fingers from anywhere around the opening. The first thing that happened after I opened the Glue was it got on my fingers and left hand. And I nearly stuck my fingers to the tube. I immediately got rubbing alcohol which didn’t work right away. So I used Nail Polish Remover, which worked after constant rubbing away at it. After I finally got that situation under control, I put the Glue where it was intended, on the knot of my Bracelet. I used a Q-Tip and placed a bit all around the knot. I used some of the Nail Polish Remover to clean up the tube too. As of right now I’m still trying to remove bits of Glue from my fingers. This Glue is good. It seem about as good as Super Glue. And it’s less expensive too. The only thing that I’m unhappy about is I dropped some on my brand new Bead Mat. I don’t know how well this work on metal. My intentions so far is to use it on materials like thread and cord. From what I can tell this Glue is gluing what I wanted to be glued just fine.

Directions Need Clarification
Aleene’s makes some very good products. This glue worked excellent to repair jewelry. However, the directions were incorrect. It says to remove cap and nozzle, then discard a ‘thin collar’. There was no ‘thin collar’. You have to puncture the end of the tube with the end of the cap, then replace the nozzle. Be careful. The glue squirts out fast, and it will not come off of skin. You have to wait for it to wear off. I was glad that I got the 3 pack, because two of the tubes were dried solid and no glue would come out. The third tube worked. I glued a crystal rhinestone to a metal. It worked great. I would have given 5 stars if the directions were correct.

Works great
I have used this brand of glue for a couple of projects, and although the price is almost the same for these three smaller tubes as it is for the one big tube, I find that I get almost as much useful product from the little tubes just because they don't dry out, or glue the lid on or become useless while waiting for my next need. Or, if they do, I have a fresh new one ready to work with.

This stuff is mad STRONG!!!
My boyfriend got me a pearl promise ring somehow the pearl fell off from the ring. We sent the ring to a jeweler to be fixed. 2 weeks after the pearl fell off again. Then we did a quick research online and found this glue. At first, we were concerned about it because it just looks like other super glue. It took the glue 10 mins to be dried. We tried them on, we even pulled the pearl to make sure it works. Holy cow! It’s mad strong. We even tried to bend it to test it out. It’s STILL stays on. Yea we would definitely recommend this glue for a quick fix of your jewelry and save a lot money from going to a professional jeweler.

Clear...not really
I have used the clear jewelry and metal glue and had high expectations. It is pretty good at adhering. I found the gel glue to bind better when first letting set a few seconds first. There really isn't a precision tip and control of glue quantity can be difficult. What really was the downfall is that I found it did not dry clear but rather the color of a gluestick on metal. This was displeasing on a couple projects. I am going to try another type of jewelry glue in hopes to get better results before using on fine metals. On plated and filled, this is just a no go for me.
