DEWENWILS 30W Outdoor Low Voltage Transformer with Timer and Photocell Light Sensor, 12V DC, ETL Listed

This is a good product. It was easy to install and set up. I've got mine set to come on at dusk and go off at dawn. It's on my front porch and there's a light on the porch. One night I turned on the light to go out and turn off the water and the yard lights went out. I didn't notice until I step back inside and turned off the porch light. It was very dark in the yard. The yard lights came right back on in a minute or so. It's working just as it's supposed to but in the past, I always bought transformers with timers. I had not considered that the light sensor would be sensitive to a porch light. Just be careful where you install it. This is not a negative review of the product in any way. It works well and I'm very happy with it.

Great product very simple and easy to use. I am using 1 watt LED walkway lights and have no problem at all. Tried other name brands first and had so many problems. Will only use this product from now on!!

Great transformer for 12V DC deck lighting. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the Wi-Fi feature is a big plus. I was able to connect it to Alexa in minutes, and it’s been working flawlessly since. Excellent value for the price.

Transformer works fine and was easy to swap out for my old one.I paid a few extra bucks to get the unit with a remote, but the remote does not work. The instructions say “The transmitter and receiver have been pre-programmed for immediate use. If you find the receivers works abnormally or the indicator on the remote control becomes dim, please replace the battery.” Replacing the battery did not work and there are no other controls to pair the remote with the transformer.Update: After submitting this review, the seller messaged me with instructions on pairing the remote to the transformer.1. Long press the timer setting button on the transformer until you see a blinking light. (A few seconds)2. press any button on the remote. The remote is now paired.

I had pathway light ( 20 watts halgon with 300 watt trasformer). The transformer quit.So, I decided to switch to led (2watt bulbs) and a smaller transformer because of cost. Much cheaper in cost. Worked out great!

My previous SMY 100W Transformer burned out after about 18 months of use likely caused by a short where water got into the underground wiring. So I did an extensive rewire of my eight 5W LED Lights so that all connections are above ground.This transformer is compact, light, efficient, easy to install, with a simple design and at a very reasonable price, especially since it has Wi-Fi & Alexa capability. It was one of the easiest devices to connect to Wi-Fi that I've encountered. I have a smart home with around 85 devices connected to my router, so I understand problem devices. Many manufacturers including Dewenwils have their own apps that they want you to install, but this device works perfect installed using SmartLife, which even brought in the exact model icon into the app. So I have no doubt that the Dewenwils app is based on the SmartLife app that is mentioned in the instructions. Connect it up, put it on your wall, open SmartLife, press and hold the power button on the device, and then when its in pairing mode click Add in SmartLife. After 30 to 50 seconds it connected and worked! Transformers usually last a long time, so with my new wiring, I'm hoping this one lasts years.

Had a transformer which I used in conjunction with a smart plug. Worked great but struggled to fit both the smart plug and the transformer plug under my waterproof cover. Then my transformer went out. I got a new one….. and after a few months it failed again. None of the heavy duty models would fit when used with the smart plug - too bulky.I finally gave up and bought another Transformer that would last, but I couldn’t control with my app. First world problems!This is perfect. No need to use a smart plug* I really hope it is as durable as it is functional. Fingers crossed!
