Batteries supplied were leaking also the partitions are already broken despite the careful removal of the bags when renewing them. A good split bin requires more work bag changing can be a mare. The lid works fine but if I'm truthful it could be slower in closing as it tries to eat me if I'm not on my toes.You can register a guarantee ten years but I ain't claiming for the cracked partition as it's too much hassle.

It took a long time to find a bin with two sections for recycling which was this large. I was a bit worried about having an electric lid as it is something else that can go wrong, but it comes with a 10 year guarantee. The bin seems of good quality and after some getting used to, I find it easy to use. The only problem, is when trying to take the rubbish out, the design means items get stuck and the bags tear.

Had this quite a while now and looks good as well as being functional. Might need to consider if you've a small kitchen. I love the capacity so not emptying as much although the non recyclable waste needs more attention as it can become smelly if left too long. To use it to maximum, I use fragrant bin powder. I highly recommend for those who need to dispose of large volumes

Idea is great- let down by the finish.Lid section is plastic- not metal. Ugly visible screw on front at top. Central partician too easily broken- to reveal sharp screws on base. Although buttons hardly used, the plastic covering has bubbled and split. Guarantee only applies to the lid mechanism- which does actually work very well.

When it works automatically open lid is very handy, but the bin is very temperamental & often just stops working. Also the plastic coating on the top by the lights has worn away. Not great considering the cost.

Does exactly what it says !! Motion sensor great, super space in split sides.
