Mueller Unisex's Nasal Plugs Box of 300, White

Very effective for stemming a nose bleed. Basically they're nasal tampons and they're not listed as sterile but they do seem very clean and well packed and sealed. There's no anti-septic impregnation so they aren't going to be suitable for infected nasal lining but as the Description states, they're not designed to be like medically treated nasal packs. 300 swabs is a mighty generous quantity for the price and should last a very long time. I don't play Rugby so they won't be used to prevent being sent off the pitch when the referee decides I'm bleeding all over my shirt! But these for me are a real life-saver. Won't go into details on that - but summing up, Glad I found them.

I suffer from regular nose bleeds and have had cauterization done several times with no long term cessation of the bleeds. These have been useful for slow bleeds as it soaks up the blood and gives it time to clot. Recommended for slow/trickle nose bleeds. They are not so good with a heavy bleed as it gets drenched and becomes a soggy mess that needs cleaned up. For those type of bleeds I would recommend a more expensive product that expands.

A necessity for the medicine cupboard.

I purchased these as I have started to suffer from bad nosebleeds. These plugs are way too small in girth and lengthy for my nose and the blood just passes straight through. I am most disappointed.

Wer regelmäßig Nasenbluten hat wird sie zu schätzen wissen. Wesentlich besser als Toilettenpeier oder Taschentücher. 2 Stück in die Nase und nach kurzer Zeit ist das Bluten gestoppt.

I suffer from frequent severe nose bleeds. I used to use toilet tissue, which would eventually work, but it was always messy, allowing blood to get on almost everything around me, until I could get the flow under control. I will never go back to toilet tissue after using this product. It worked great, with minimal blood loss. The secret is to find the specific spot where the bleed is happening, and to apply pressure with the nose plug by inserting it to the proper location. I happen to know where my nose bleeds originate from inside my nasal cavity, so this plug stopped the flow rather quickly. I did wait about 45 minutes before removing it, in order to ensure that I would not restart the nose bleed. It is much more comfortable to use the nose plug, because it does not require holding one's hand up to their nose. I did not experience any blood runoff at any time with the plug in my nose.

Makes a nosebleed easier to manage. Works great for my son (under 10). One plug, pop it in, he, can self manage. Me (adult) I do have to use two plugs for my nose. My bleeds are horrendous though. I do have to change them out but it makes it so much easier to deal with. Once my nose is almost done bleeding, I do add a little saline gel to the part that goes in my nose only because I personally found the cotton gets "stuck" to my vessels in my nose and when I pull the plug out, my nose starts bleeding again. The gel saline, helps keep that last plug moist so it doesn't "dry" against the nose wall. It is like a cotton material, not quite like a tampon material but works great as nose-pons!! Keep some in each bathroom, in a baggie in my cars, in my purse, easy to travel with. Convenient to use! Will definitely purchase again!
