Works perfectly for my modded Xbox. Perfect amount of length too.

Worked well with no issues on my original Xbox 1.0 when I used it with a startech IDE to SATA adapter and put in a SSD. Months later it still works great.

It works just fine with OG XBOX. It connects to XBOX, CDROM, and harddrive just fine. The XBOX recongizes my sata drive adapter.

Used for OG Xbox. A bit shorter than the original cable but works 100% for my configuration. Something to be aware of if same use-case as it won't look as clean or bend the same way.

My first soft modded XBox finally gave up the ghost. I thought, (hoped) it was the cheap 80 wire ATA cable I had installed way back in 2014, but no…. The cloned 120GB Western Digital PATA Hard drive finally broke down. 14 years is a pretty good lifespan for one of those! Time to go hard mod on the system, and install a modern SATA hard drive. As for this new cable, it’s a vast improvement over previous versions available back in the early soft modding days. The others were very short and had to be twisted and folded like oragami to get it to connect, which is why I had hoped it was the cable that went bad. This new cable still needs careful folding, but is longer and isn’t under the tight stresses those old cables suffered. I would say it fits loosely inside, when folded and routed perfectly. I tested this new cable out on another Xbox, just before I sold it, and it works good, and the price is really good for such old obsolete tech! People are still modding these things, well over a decade later, it’s nice to know that this obsolete tech is still adored!

I've done a few Xbox OG softmods without issue. On this past upgrade I did everything as I supposed to have but system kept crashing and giving me a code 09. I ordered a new board and HDD from eBay, thinking something could be wrong those items. Even order 2 more different IDE adapters. After checking and re-checking I come to discover the cable was bad. After spending close to an extra $100.00 on parts and all, I bought another cable and problem was solved and has never returned. Just saying before blaming other components or throwing out the console, try a new cable. The cable has worked flawlessly everything I needed it to until this last round, but the replacement cable is doing just fine.

This is what it says it is. If you need an 80 wire 40 pin IDE cable, this will work. Have used it for Sata to IDE adapters in both an OG Xbox and a Win98 retro build, and it does exactly what it's intended for. Installs the same as a standard IDE cable, solid build quality. Would easily recommend.

I didn't know it could be a little rare to find a good IDE cable in 2023 but this one is a good IDE quality cable like the old days. Long enough and works perfectly well.

Works as intended. Expensive but not many options for this length I got this to install a 2TB SATA HDD into my original Xbox console. Works perfectly with this and a Startech SATA to IDE adapter.
