Can I use this as a flux for molten aluminum? Does it work better than mortons lite salt?

Get a proper casting flux. "lite salt", washing soda, and other grocery-store nonsense do not and cannot function as fluxes for aluminum. They can neither degas the melt or separate metal from the dross. The fact that these salts often carry a large amount of absorbed water into the melt means they will typically cause a dramatic increase in absorbed gas -- the exact opposite of what's desired. Just like borax and washing soda, sodium chloride and potassium chloride individually are incapable of melting anywhere near the process temperature. The binary eutectic of NaCl and KCl is close to 660C, but dry mixing of granulated salt does not achieve this. Unless you are willing to painstakingly dry your salt, weigh it accurately, melt it down at >800C (with painfully slow addition of CaF2), cast it and grind it back into powder, you're not making flux at home. I've done it. It's not a simple, quick, safe, or inexpensive task. Judging by every single youtube video on the subject, I think most people don't really understand what to expect of a dross cleaning flux. With an actual flux, the foamy metallic dross will separate to a loose grey ashy material, and your metal loss rate is minimized to nearly zero. I even went and recovered a bunch of ingots out of my old dross bucket (not that that's economical). The flux sold by BCS will achieve this with relatively little cost ($25 for a pint).

Are you wanting to braze or weld? The Forney Aluminum Welding Flux is not good for aluminum torch welding in my experience. Try Amco 22 by Superior Flux or Anti-borax no.8 for aluminum torch welding. I have not tried their brazing flux.
