This book was really fun! Why do rollercoasters make you puke answered one of the questions I didn’t even know I needed to know, which is that “breaking the seal” is sort of a real thing! I always thought it was psychological, but in fact you do end up peeing more— just for a totally different reason than you might think. There are a bunch of these, which I love not only just to know for myself, but for trivia and games (my friends and I play games a fair amount), this is perfect. I love having games at all my parties when there are more strangers than people who know each other, it breaks the ice so quickly. And these are questions some people will really want to know the answer to, unlike a lot of trivia questions that is just taking up useless space in your brain and no one cares. I also use these on my promotional post cards- tell people about myself while also giving them a fun info nugget.

I love, love
I love, love, love this book! are you ever between books and don’t know what you want to read next? Are you bored or just have a small amount of time to relax and read? This is the book for you. It is very easy to read. Small snipets of information you may or may not have thought about. Has a small child ever asked you a question you have no idea what the answer is? It just may be in this book. Like “why don’t woman have Adam’s apples? The answers to the questions are short; mostly one page. This would be a great night time book to read for you or your child before bed. Questions and answers are very thought provoking and may have you looking for more answers to curious and intriguing questions.

Interesting but
An interesting read. Could use a little more depth. At least one "fact"was incorrect. That made me question some of the other information.

The answers to the "Yeah! Why is that???" questions :)
I’m big on learning and telling factoids to others, so this book gives exactly what I need. Most of the topics in the book are situations we encounter frequently (if not daily) but don’t give a second thought until someone asks us about it. One perfect example would be “Why dont women have Adam's Apples?” The answer us because men only have Adam's Apples. But the real question is WHY? Andrew Thompson has wrote a book that gives us the answers that one needs to give an inquisitive child when “Because” will not suffice for an answer. Thompson provides answers for an array of topics like “Why do people have earlobes?,” “Why does pepper make people sneeze?,” and “Why does time seem to fly as we get older?” thoughtfully, covering historical evidence as well as rumors that might may carried through popular culture. Each section usually ends with a funny quip or play on words that helps keep this book fun as well as informative.

Endless trivia to keep you and your friends entertained
What I love about this book is it essentially addresses all the myths and urban legends that people tend to argue about at parties and explain the history and science behind these debates. I think this would be a great book for academically minded teenagers, as well as people who like to host parties, enjoy pub quizzes, or are fans of the How Stuff Works-type TV shows. It's well written, covers a broad area of topics, and is never boring!

Adult contents shouldn’t be a surprise.
References to adult themes makes it inappropriate for 10 year old for whom it was purchased. Some rating should appear on order to alert buyers. A waste of my money.

If you ever wondered Why or How? You can probably find the answer in this book.
I love what I call Why and How books. This is surely one of the best I have ever read!

Sexist & inappropriate
I purchased this book to give as a gift to a 9-year old and was HORRIFIED to read the content inside. Topics & comment like: "What Do Women Look For in a Man?", "Women are strange and will never be fully understood", "Do Steroids Shrink Men's Testicles","How Did the Term Johnson Come to Mean a Man's Penis?", and worst of all - "How Does the Date Rape Drug Work?" I cannot believe this book was written in 2017 - or that the author could possibly market this to kids.
