The item was too big for the cocktail napkins I was intending to use. Beautiful design but did not work for me

I also bought a black metal napkin holder so I'm going to compare them. For me this bamboo napkin holder wins!This one has better packaging. Bubble wrap in a fitted box kept it safe from dings.This one holds more napkins. Nice deep basket.Both have a weighted lever to keep the napkins down when pulling one up, which I really wanted.This bamboo one is not as secure with just one napkin because the lever is shorter, but being such a deep basket, I don't think that matters. The bar across is also annoying when putting napkins in. It gets in the way. I like that the other one has a lever that lifts entirely up and out of the way when adding napkins. That's the one real negative.Most importantly, the other napkin holder has the problem that when you pull out a napkin they all slide forward out of the basket because there is no front, whereas this bamboo basket has a full enclosure to keep the napkins in even when you're pulling one forward.As far as aesthetics, its a matter of your taste and decor. I think they both look nice with natural materials! The black would have worked better for my kitchen, but storing more napkins is the reason I got a flat basket napkin holder for my big family, and means I'll be keeping this bamboo one and not the other!

Stylish napkin holder made of bamboo. The little flapper thing holds down the napkin supply so it doesn't peel off one by one and sail away in the wind. It's a little tight-fitting for a stack of napkins, but that may be good. Like it.

We buy Kirkland napkins and found that this holder just isn't suitable for us - it's too cumbersome to put in a small amount of napkins. The holder, when full, requires 2 hands to get a napkin out, and we aren't stuffing them in there - just enough to get the holder to have slight tension.Not particularly impressed with it, I wish I went for a vertical holder.

I wanted better storage for our cloth napkins. It is a good size for our napkins and the paddle holds them still. I expected the paddle to be easier to lift, it's limited by the notch cut in the back to only raise a little bit. It's not a spring, just gravity. I think it looks great and is a nice way to keep our napkins organized.

I don't know why, but for some reason, I thought this was larger than it actually is. That doesn't reduce my rating for this product though, as it's well-built with an excellent, simplistic design.I should probably admit that I'm kind of a sucker for anything made from bamboo, and this napkin holder definitely scratches that itch. It looks amazing and does exactly what it's made for.There is only one complaint that I could make regarding this item. The tongue that is intended to hold the napkins in place, does not have any real weight to it, so it does not automatically press down upon the napkins as they are removed. You will have to press it down manually.It is short in height, so it will only support up to about an inch and a half of napkins. In high-traffic areas, you may find yourself refilling it quite often, but it's perfect for the average dining room table.

Got this for our dining table and it looks great plus the size is perfect for the Bounty napkins I use would also fit most brands that are the same size. Laying flat keeps the napkins nice and flat no falling out when you take one, we had a vertical napkin holder and every time you took one a few more would fall out or the napkins would be flopping down.

This napkin holder is made well and is sturdy and the bamboo is finished nicely, but it is way too large for cocktail napkins as the description states. This holder will hold a standard dinner napkin like what you might use at home (think square quarter-fold Vanity Fair or something you would get at the grocery store). I own a catering and event planning company and was hoping to use this for cocktail/beverage napkins, but it is much too large and it’s pretty shallow, so it won’t hold very many napkins. But it is made well and the little non-slid feet on the bottom are nice and is the weighed arm. It’s just not the right size for what I would use it for and where it doesn’t hold many napkins, it would defeat my purpose.
