Good price, good quality.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Arrived on time in good condition, properly packaged. Works well so far, brightness seems to be what is specified. I have no long term experience with them yet.

These lights keep the bugs distracted so you can open you door and they don’t fly in your house
These are perfect porch lights. They are not too bright so as to draw bugs. They are excellent at keeping the bugs away from your door. They draw the bugs to the lights instead of the door so that when you open the door they are not disturbed and don’t fly in your house.

Work like a charm!
I don't know how or why these lightbulbs work to keep the bugs away, but in buggy ol' Michigan previously at night when trying to let my indecisive cat back into the house I would have had a room full of bugs. With these bulbs there are no bugs waiting at the door to come in the moment the door opens. They are a miracle invention.I do still recommend turning any INSIDE lights off before opening the door to an indecisive cat. No need to flash an invitation to the bugs.

3-way light bulb, soft white
4 stars as the soft white is very dingy in it’s glow. Yes it’s soft white, but more like a dimmable bulb on the lowest setting even when set to high.Bulb is a good weight, just not aligning with what I was expecting a 3-way light’s lighting based upon the bulb’s ratings.Buy? No, not for a need of a brighter HI setting.

Fewer moths, but still a lot of other bugs
Perhaps this review is unfair, as there may not exist ANY "bug bulbs" which do not attract insects at night. I was hoping that LED technology was better than the old incandescent yellow bulbs, but alas, the majority of bugs find these irresistible. In fairness, I do think that there are fewer moths. It's a pleasing warm yellow light and is quite bright, just not invisible to bugs as suggested.Seems to work better than I thought at first. I guess the bugs were just used to hanging out on my front porch, but now there are much fewer!
