Excellent Appearance and Quality
This is a short review since I've only used the bed frame for a few nights. The sturdiness is fantastic, although it was a hassle to carry it up several flights of stairs in my apartment. There were a few minor shipping scuffs, but those are to be expected. Nevertheless, the wood finish is pretty good. There's some slight splintering, but nothing to worry about. The color is nice and rich, and the firmness is exactly what I was looking for. The size leaves about an inch and a half of space on the sides. Setting it up was fairly simple, and I could have managed it on my own. Having an extra hand is very helpful but not necessary. The adjustable height options are amazing and the main reason I chose this bed frame. I only have one of the posts, but it's the perfect height and I absolutely love it. Overall, it's a great product with excellent customer support. They were attentive and caring. You won't be disappointed with your purchase.

Perfect substitute~
I did much research before changing my entire sleeping lifestyle from using western mattress & bed frame, to now a Japanese style bedding set. I have slept so wonderfully since buying this product! For so long I had terrible sleeping patterns and never having a fitful rest, my mattress was very old and worn, sinking to the middle from usage so I had zero posture support, would wake up tossing & turning never finding the right position to fall back asleep to, and back pain upon waking up. Since buying the 3 combo of wood frame, tatami mat, and futon (ALL TWIN SIZE), my sleep is very comfortable, even for a side sleeper such as myself! I was wary of that very problem I may face before making my decision, but the firmness is just what I needed! I only used a thick blanket I already had and used a fitted sheet to keep it in place to give it just a little bit of softness, but other than that, I sleep very well. Emoor is a great brand to try and have amazing customer service, just be aware of the different timezones in case a reply is prolonged, but they are very good at resolving any issues you may have with the products bought. I have also bought the Japanese tatami straw mat to go along with the frame to give my back support and to prevent putting direct weight on the pine wood slats themselves, including their Shikubuton mattress. All 3 items amounted to around 610 after taxes/shipping, which IMO is much more affordable and valuable for my wallet than buying a thousand dollar standard mattress SEPARATE from the accomanying frame which costs just as much, somtimes more. ~~FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER~~ While the frame is very easy to assemble, PLEASE read the warnings and instructions carefully! Do NOT place weight directly on the slats even when it is complete. I weight around 130lbs, and even if you weigh lightly. I highly recommend buying the foldable tatami mat to insulate the weight placed on the wooden frame. The maximum limit is 440lbs as stated on the manual. Make sure that there are SIX legs attached to the bottom of the frame BEFORE turning it over, especially the legs that support the MIDDLE of the frame as it is the point of breakage should it be assembled the wrong way. NEVER skip a step on the assembly, and NEVER jump or throw yourself on the frame, even if it is wood, it's not a metal frame and should be handled with extra care when moving it around. If there is no one to assist you, gently lift the frame by the head/foot ends rather than the long ends and slowly shift it from side to side so that the middle portion stays in tact and you are not straining yourself to place it in different positions of your room. This is solid pine wood, it is heavy, so please be careful not to drop it from constant maneuvering. That's about all I have to say about this wonderful product; nothing out of place/missing pieces, or cheap wood materials, comes in a single box with everything included. ~~~~ I considered buying an actual folding futon frame, then a platform frame with storage, then a day bed frame, to even a couch that extends into a bed, but I am so glad I found this brand and settled on making this purchase. Just do your research and see if this is right for your sleeping style, you won't be disappinted!

Sturdy, beautiful & good value
Natural Pine. Queen size is quite heavy & U may need a buddy. There is a helpful guidebook in English & Japanese & assembly for me was several hours, but I have snacks, tea & procrastinate. Should be under 2 hrs for most. It is very sturdy & will likely last a lifetime, therefore, worth the $. Arrived quickly & any problems are easily addressed. It makes almost no noise. We used the 5" legs & then the height becomes 7". (Obviously with a futon etc.. even higher.) VERY pretty & the wood grain is unique on each leg & planks. There's room for short things underneath, slippers etc.. & always the option to extend the legs or shorten further. Nice & breathable choice, plenty of airflow for our futon, but slats are not too far apart. Lay out all of the pieces 1st & count everything before beginning, is my advice. Enjoy!

Beautiful, sturdy, easy to assemble. I love it!
I really do love this bed frame! I assembled it myself and took less than 1.5 hours. I am in my early 60’s and just needed help from my nephew to carry it to a place I can open and assemble it in. The wood I chose is gorgeous! What I did first was look over the instructions, took the pieces out of the box (so I can inspect and organize them) and set them up so each type of part was together and I labeled them using painter’s tape which was easy to peel off and not damage the pieces. I did this for all the pets including the bolts, etc. I can attest that this made setting up a lot easier and quicker. I didn’t put the footboard in since my tatami mat was too long for it. I asked a family member to help me turn it over right side up once I was done. Definitely have another person do this and follow the instructions on where to hold the bed so you don’t damage it - I can see it getting damaged if you don’t follow the instructions. The result was and is beautiful! Very sturdy, no creaking and I set it up to the highest level. I put a tatami mat over it then a made in Japan futon on top of that. I am using a full flat cotton bedsheet folded in half on top of the futon and it stays in place. My back doesn’t hurt and it’s really so comfortable. I don’t feel the slats at all when I’m sleeping on it. It’s nice that the slats are also close together and wide also - that helps with stability and sturdiness. I would have given it 4.5 stars (no option), and the only reason for the 4 stars is the damaged part. It was the only piece damaged and was a piece that was on the bottom so you can’t really see it. However, that part should not have been packed for shipping since it’s so obvious that it’s damaged especially for the price I paid for it. I also didn’t want to wait for a replacement piece since I needed to set up the bed so I have a more comfortable one to sleep on, so for me it wasn’t an issue. If you are on the fence about getting it, don’t hesitate. I waited about 2 months and kept looking at it, reading reviews and hesitating since it’s not returnable, but finally decided to get it. I have no remorse over purchasing it, as a matter of fact, I am so happy that I bought it!

Beautiful and natural
I purchased this bedframe because of its natural wood. I didn’t want anything that was made of a bunch of chemicals or harmful ingredients. I believe this frame is 100% Pinewood or whatever wood it’s made of. The bedframe is very sturdy and it’s beautiful and it didn’t have any strange smells. I tried using a traditional Japanese futon but it was too thin for me unfortunately so I put a normal American mattress on it and it still looks really nice. Putting it together took about an hour with help. The only complaint I have is that the bedframe is incredibly heavy. I am about 100 pounds and I’m 5 feet tall, and it was difficult sliding it into my apartment even though it was delivered to the front door , I wish it was shipped maybe 2 to 3 boxes just to make it easier to move. I also live on the third floor and I feel so terrible for the delivery man that had to carry it up three flights of steps. Maybe I’m just weak, but it was incredibly heavy. Even though it was heavy in its box it is fairly simple to reposition in my room.

Decent product – assembly required, would recommend!
The assembly manual is your friend (the booklet lists out the steps first in Japanese and then again in English, just flip to the second half). The instructions require paying some attention to parts, but no more than your standard IKEA setup. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour to assemble by yourself if you aren't rushing. Finished product matches listing description 100%. It's heavy, but sturdy. Nice material.

Authentic make and fantastic support.
I bought this 6 months ago. I sleep on it daily. I would sleep on the floor on a mat before, but it was taking a toll on my body to get up from the floor as I got older. So I bought this to help it. Honestly was amazed how easy it was to assemble, easier if you got a good hex key already since the one they give is a bit small. Sadly the instructions were in Japanese, but with the illustrations + Google translating photos it was simple to understand and relatively straight forward. After 6 months the support rail broke on me, that however as I discovered (after contacting them, getting a replacement part, and fixing it) that I was the one who broke it. My floor was not leveled so one side would hang a bit up, over the 6 months the pressure probably bent it and warped it out of place causing it to break. To check if this is an issue, I recommend either check your floor with a level (there's apps for it) or install the legs, rails, and mid slat first to check if any of the legs hover. Since the weight of one slat on a side will make it bend down to the floor. Amazing response from the company, great build quality, and genuinely would buy and recommend this brand to everyone. Just know that the high cost is in part that it is shipped from Japan.
