ISDIN Isdinceutics Retinal Advanced - Rejuvenating Facial Night Serum with Retinaldehyde and Melatonin 1.7 FL OZ (50 ml)

I’ve never used retinal/retinol etc, so using this product is my very first attempt. I am 40+, fair skin, sensitive skin, dry skin, med/large pores, still prone to hormonal breakouts, some sun damage freckling, pretty deep 11s, and very minor wrinkles anywhere else. I started using this right around 2/1/24. It’s now 2 months of almost nightly use since (I’ve skipped a couple nights here or there just from schedule issues). I do use a full 2 pumps each time, every night, and I run the excess down my neck and upper chest to help with signs of aging there. I thought FOR SURE I would have bad peeling, redness, etc because I have sensitive skin and usually EVERYTHING makes me red or break out. But this hansy been bad at all! I started to think that might mean it’s a dud product, but I have been going thru “purge” for about 3-4 weeks. Not constant, but a couple of rounds of very agitated pimples. Moreso than I usually get, and I am used to have them every month with my cycle. So that makes me feel like it’s doing SOMETHING! I think I may be on the downward slope of the purge…. Hopefully. How does my skin feel or look? Well, it actually does feel more hydrated and softer than ever. I love that! It looks slightly more even tone (between the breakout areas when I’m having pimples and generally all over when I’m not having a breakout.) I also feel like I’m seeing a little more radiance or glow. Nothing miraculous, but just a little more shine and luster. I have not noticed a reduction in my deep 11s or my 2 very fine forehead lines. So far I’m happy. It’s such an expensive product I hate that you have to spend so much to find out if it works, but I feel like the signs I’m seeing now support continued use and expense. At 2 months, it looks to me like I might have 1 month of product left in the jar. For the price I paid, if it lasts 3 months, that’s about $62 a month ($744 a year!). I’ve never had an rx from a derm, so I’m not sure how that compares to prescription and office visit costs. I’m going to continue trying this for the full year. If I feel confident that I’m seeing results, I’ll do a cost comparison of actually getting on and maintaining a retinoid rx or just continuing this product. Will update!

Looooooove what this ISDIN retinol does to my skin. I purchased it originally from a pharmacy overseas as a recommendation from the pharmacist. I wanted to have smoother skin. I purchased it again off Amazon when I ran out. Great product! Just a pea size amount at night and moisturizer afterwards.

This product works. I hate to say that it's worth the money. But I guess it is. I would purchase it again. I'm not done with my first bottle. But I had a little time of hormonal breakouts and after months of regular facials all of my flawless skin was wrecked by hormonal acne. In short order I have seen this product turn over that skin. Full disclaimer I am microneedling every 6 weeks. However I can say that this product has helped my skin remove a lot of the hyperpigmentation left by the hormonal acne. And I'm back to a really good place. I don't like that it's only a 3-month shelf life. That's even more concerning. Because I just microneedled and you have to not microneedle a couple days before and after. Nonetheless I'm sure I can use it before the 3 months is up. I have seen significant difference in my skin's turn over. I would suggest it. I give it four stars for the price and 3 month shelf life. However that's probably what makes it work because it works so well you have to use it within 3 months or the efficaciousness is compromised. I am chocolate complexioned and I will buy it again.
