These aren't going to dehumidify your space, but they absolutely helped me keep things from getting musty. I'm in the pacific NW area, some humidity (It gets worse in other states, I know!), so my apartment sometimes develops issues in spaces with that must that builds up when the moisture gets too high. I can smell it in closets, under the bed, or in the corners of carpeted rooms. I picked these up because the little box ones sold at the Dollar Tree became scarce, and these ave been absolutely helpful. I keep an organized and clean home, so that's not an issue, and I also have a powered dehumidifier (and an AC unit with a dehumidify setting). These still helped in small or closed spaces, like closets and my bed frame (keeping must away from both) the the air smells clear. These last as long as they are not full, so the one near my bed filled faster than the one in my pantry closet, but the one in my bathroom filled more quickly. My advice, check them every couple of weeks. They didn't leak, and even did well resting upright in my kitchen cupboard, using a nail to help keep the hook higher than the rest of the bag. Cleanup is a snap, just take it down and replace. I cut the bag near the seam and dumped accumulated moisture into the toilet. They're pricey, but they're very helpful. Definitely recommend them if you have issues with musty areas due to humidity. These aren't a dehumidifier, but they will definitely help.

So far they are proving to remove the musty smell out of my basement by taking the access water out of the basements I put up 6 because I had a large basement an in 2 weeks the smell in my basement has gone and they are hardly have any water in them.
