Nearsighted Swim Goggles, Shortsighted Optical Swimming Goggles No Leaking Anti Fog UV Protection for Adult Men Women

Now I am a casual swimmer and I am a child at heart and love to swim underwater pretend to be mermaids, do flips underwater, etc. Used to be a contacts wearer, but not anymore. So that means I swim with glasses or I flat out can't see. These made it so I can partake in my childish pool shenanigans AND be able to see while doing so. There's no water leakage and they don't really fog up on me. The only thing to note is they are tinted, which is great if you swim in sunny weather like most people. However I go to my apartments outdoor pool in the evening since that's the hour no one is there and I can partake in my mermaid activities in peace. Can still see, but it's darker.P.S. I ordered the -3.5 because one of my eyes is a -4.00 and the other is a -3.75. I figured if the prescription was too strong in one eye I would get headaches so I opted to go down since there weren't the quarter prescriptions available. It works perfect and my sight is good enough, I'm underwater for Pete's sake I don't need crystal clear vision, just some vision.

I selected these goggles based on a NYT review by AnneMarie Conte. My optician helped me purchase the right lens correction. They are terrific and cost 2 times less than Tyr goggles which lasted many years. The strap adjustments are much easier and very precise. Eventually I made them fit looser because they work well. This met my goal for comfort. The nose adjustments are useful and easy to change. As the goggles are wider than most swimming goggles, they pick up a little drag which is fine as my goal was comfort for a longer swim. I have not noticed any smearing issues on the polarized lens exterior. There is a little but does not affect the vision.

These goggles are okay for the price. When I compared these to the many other goggles I have tried these are the ones that are the closest prescription to mine. It also one of the few that has that high of prescription. They are a bit tinted so they do not get too much glare for me. They also do fog up as much as many other goggles do unfortunately so that is a bit annoying. They keep the water out and fit perfectly for my head. It is adjustable if it becomes uncomfortable. The adjustment is not very easy though. Honestly I feel like the bands will break. There is no case that comes with it so it is not as easy to store the goggles in. After every swim I wash the goggles and clean it to keep the coating on the goggles from wearing down. That being said the goggles are a bit easy to scratch regardless. It is more noticeable on the color of the coating. Overall I do like these goggles and they are for my prescription. The problem is that the goggles get a bit easy to fog and scratched easily. It also is hard to adjust.

I grew up in the water--pool and ocean. I have had 20/200 uncorrected vision with astigmatism since high school. I got by back then with squinting through goggles or a face mask. In my 20's I wore my contacts in the ocean in order to see the waves coming--lost a few lenses that way. Getting up in age; I put another swim in the ocean on my bucket list. Don't have the resources for rx goggles, have some health issues and would make excuses not to do it no swimsuit, cant see, etc. my base rx for glasses without correcting for the astigmatism is -6.50 so I ordered. Got me an old lady swimsuit an off to the beach went I. It was FANTASTIC--like rolling back the clock 20+ years--and I owe that to these goggles. May not be 20/20 but if you order closest to your base rx you will be good to go. I could see quite clearly. The goggles did not leak and did not come off diving over/under/ through waves. Some fogging but I think the colder than normal water temp was partially to blame. Make sure you use the best nose piece for your face for the best fit (3 sizes included) ; I was able to loosen the strap without compromising the watertight seal. This would be on my shortlist of items I never knew I needed until I got them (or that I knew I needed but never thought I could find at an affordable price).

These work better than the much costlier brand-name goggles I bought earlier this year. No leak, no fogging, and it’s fantastic that I can get a prescription power near my glasses Rx at this price. A great view!

-10 right, -8 left. I'm used to surviving with less than ideal correction, so I just got the -8. Without correction, its just not safe for me to be anywhere near a pool. I'd never find my glasses, wouldn't see the pool ledge, wouldn't see a wall.... heck I wouldn't even be able to see that there is a black line.I normally swim with contact lenses and regular goggles. But, I like to swim every day and you never know when you might have a scratched cornea or something. Got these as a back up.I haven't tried these in the water, but I've tried them on without my contacts in. Impressive! I could see well enough to get around. I always assumed corrective goggles would have to be custom made and cost a fortune! Can't believe the range of strength they come in. Its hard to find contact lenses in my range. Is the correction perfect for me? Of course not, but goggles always cause distortion anyway, they're not meant for driving. But they're miraculous and take me from being basically totally blind to seeing well enough to survive.Can't say how well they are at preventing leaks, but given the customizable nose piece I don't anticipate a problem.I love that they're mirrored and tinted as I always swim in outdoor bright conditions.

Even the smallest nose piece is too wide. Unless you are a horse, look elsewhere.

My son is -7.5/-8 in vision. These work great. He's used them in saltwater on cruises and in freshwater lakes and rivers. Great product for a great price

Worried about the quality and whether it makes me dizzy but this product works well. Just make sure you get it with the lower prescription instead of the higher one if your eyes have a different prescription.
