Ruined my tank!
After mistakenly buying this product from the US instead of UK (and having to wait months for it), I couldn’t wait to pop it in my filter and hopefully reduce the nitrates in my fish tank. Unfortunately, within an hour, my whole tank was a murky yellow/brown colour. I left it in for 24 hours just incase it would sort itself out. By the time I arrived home from work the next day, I could not see the fish through the murky water. I removed the Algone sachet and completed a 50% water change. The picture you see is a fresh pack in a bowl with clean tap water. With no squeezing or agitation, the water is very yellow. Is this faulty? I have no clue. I have contacted the manufacturer and received no reply. I will go to my local aquatic shop next time. Absolute waste of money and my lovely clear water now looks dreadful!
