Touch Screen Replacement for iPad Air 4 4th Gen 2020 10.9 inch Digitizer Panel Glass Assembly A2316 A2324 A2072 A2325 +Tools

My son broke his Ipad 4 Air (2316). I thought I could replace just the glass part aka digitizer. Not so simple. There were no included instructions. I used YouTube to learn how to do that. Getting it apart was not easy but manageable enough with a heat gun and the provided tools. However, I quickly found out that the screen has many layers of polarized film and a mirror and a super thin piece of aluminum which bent when any sort of heat was applied. I was wondering why the expert at the store I took it to wanted $200 to replace the screen when all it needed was the glass. It is much easier to buy the LCD with digitizer and replace the whole unit as one. That piece goes for around $160 here in the Amazon. I ended up ordering that anyway and will complete the installation/fixing when it arrives.

Deep in the product description you’ll see “LCD Not included.” And the very last photo even explains that the touch screen is made up of multiple components and that this is just the exterior glass and connector. And free tools!But there are no instructions and not all of the tools pictured are included.Of course it is up to a user to read each word of an item description. Even so, what’s the harm in making it explicit that this is just the capacitive glass that goes over the screen, and not a replacement for the full touch lcd display.

Do not buy this product pls

It was pretty hard to install if you don’t know what you’re doing.

They misleading you to thinking this can be used by a typical consumer to fix your ipad.
