Q: Does the Brush have individually rounded edges

I see someone answered for the bristles but the outer plastic of the toothbrush itself has rounded edges. It has no sharp or pointed edges. Quite honestly this is the best toothbrush I've ever had. My wife loves it too and now we have them for our children. Regarding the bristles, even though they are tapered, they are not sharp to your gums. They are incredibly soft yet highly effective. I have braces and other toothbrushes could not get between the appliances or between my teeth well. This toothbrush does that and is even almost as good as flossing!

Q: How often should you replace these tooth brushes?

According to About.com, if your mouth is healthy, changing brushes every two or three months is ok if you take good care of it. If you have gum disease they say you should change your brush out every 4 to 6 weeks due to bacteria building up in the bristles of your brush. Personally, I rinse by brush in peroxide once a week or so and always set it out to dry between brushings. I change mine out when I see signs of wear or every two months.

Q: What is this toothbrush made of? I want to be able to recycle it.

If you go to Dr. Collins Perio website/store you can order this same toothbrush with a bamboo handle, which can be recycled. Should be able to find it on Amazon as well.

Q: Does this work well for small mouths, on the back teeth that are hard to access?

I for one would have to say yes.... It reaches back teeth, is not too large to handle for small mouths and is so soft to the touch.
