Great value and perfect for sensory projects.

I bought these to "grow with" my 5mo baby. He is now 8mo and STILL loves these! I strung a few with some wooden spools and he loves to chew on it, swing it around, smack it on his chair and make noise. They float, so perfect for bath time. Helps with fine motor skills in picking them up off a flat surface. I'll put maybe a handful in a basket for him to play with and he loves dumping them out. When he is older we can do lacing and crafts with them.I did not count or sort how many was in my package. But I did get A LOT of red.UPDATE: at 17 month old he STILL plays with them!

They are pretty large

The bad: It does not appear there is quality control on the buttons. As you can see from the picture, I had a couple mis shaped buttons. One of the laces seems like it is a different type than the others in the pack. The description says "This bag has an equal mix of 4 colors." This is not the case. I tried to evenly split the shapes/colors into 2 bags so my son could have 1 set at my house and 1 set at his dad's but the amount for each shape/color did not come out even.The good: I received a few extra shapes which is good because I did have 2 items that were mis shaped. The pieces are big. The hole size seems appropriate for laces. It will fulfill its purpose of teaching shapes, colors and motor skills.

These are great for fine motor skills with lacing. Great for practicing sorting shapes and colors. They are a great size for younger kids who may mouth them since they aren’t a choking hazard.

I got 136 buttons: tons of red (which is more pink) color. Also, received 6 strings: green, red, yellow but no blue color.

These are great for my son with autism! He strings these all day long on the laces provided. I do wish they had a blue string to match the blue buttons but he adapted and strung those on the red lace. They’re thick and there are TONS of them in the bag.
