Description: Total Hardness Test Kit. For freshwater aquariums, plant tanks and ornamental ponds. An important parameter in water quality, total hardness represents the total concentration of calcium and magnesium ions. Most fish and plants survive in either soft (low GH) or hard (high GH) water conditions. In general, 1°dGH means that every 100ml of distilled water contains 1mg/L of calcium oxide. Each kit includes a sample vial, two bottles of liquid reagents, testing powder and spoon for 57 tests.
