Great power
I used it for my MPC ONE for music. It came with a12v but was telling me I couldn't do updates due to limited power source so I upgraded to this 1. Worked soon as I connected. Good quality too. Worth it.

What he needed but...
Ordered for Hubby's music equipment as replacement. He says the adapter fit is not snug rather loose. Obviously any type of electronic adapters or plugs must be tight in order to receive maximum benefits. His music equipment is his santuary and outlet after work. Wish quality would have been better and hope company can rectify may just be defect.

The power jack is not the right size. It is too small, doesn't stay in, and jostles about.
Two star's because it works. Two stars because it doesn't actually fit well.

Inaccurate info on this listing! DOES NOT WORK ON MPC LIVE 2
I wanted a second adapter to supplement the factory one since I travel a lot and also move around my house with this unit a lot. Unfortunately, this does not work on the Akai MPC Live 2! The plug barely fits, it's missing the ground connector - and more importantly - it does not power nor does it charge the battery! I A/B'd with my Akai factory adapter, and the factory power supply both powers and charges the unit. This power supply does neither! AVOID!

Power for MPC Devices…
The power and volt rating is spot on but the connector that plugs into the back of the MPC does not fit correctly and actually too big to stay-in securely making this device very unsafe for all Akai MPC products.
