It's exactly what it should be
It's pure carnauba wax, plain and simple. People putting bad reviews here about how it doesn't apply as easily as beeswax are just uneducated. It's supposed to be extremely hard and have a high melting point. That's exactly what makes it a better wax finish for gloss and protection than beeswax or any carnauba blend. The fact that it's harder to apply is par for the course, not some failing of the product. I apply directly on the lathe over melamine lacquer for projects where I want a durable glossy finish, but don't want to use CA. Expect to need plenty of friction and heat to get it to melt enough to apply, and then again to buff it out with a shop towel. This bar isn't very big, and $17 seems like a lot for the quantity. But it represents literally hundreds of pens worth of finish. I'll probably still be using this same bar in a decade.

Good product
Works great after using 30 one which is a type of glue on the surface of of my bowls. Produces a great shine with the Beal buffing system.

A good wax for a beautiful shine on your wood/plastic products.
Using this on some of my woodworking projects such as pens, handles etc... to give them a really nice but durable shine. Even though I generally finish all my pieces with Mylands friction polish or Acks microabrasive paste, adding the carnuba just gives each piece that little extra something. This carnuba is a good hard wax that with a little effort gives a nice coating/shine that is a bit harder then using something like bees wax. It will require a bit of effort but using the lathe makes it easier just be sure to buff it well. I use a plain white tea towel that I bought from Walmart but it really leaves it bright and shiney.

Fantastic wax!
I got some burl figure wood handles that I want to put a high shine on. Did some research and decided to go with the pure, hard carnauba wax, since it’s a hard wax and won’t melt at body temperature. The result is fantastic! I used rotary tool and cotton wheel to apply it. It’s so good! I am definitely coming back for more.
