Wow - what a tool!!
I've been after a meat cleaver for a while. Came across this one. Took a chance. Glad I did. This item came beautifully packaged. Taking this cleaver out of its packing and holding it - it exudes class. Extremely sharp and well balanced to the top of the blade to make chopping easier. But it also works very well as a knife. Slices thru' raw meat, cooked meat, cheese, tomatoes. and chops thru' various squashes without much trouble. I've given this cleaver one * in the Feature marked " Lightweight " because it certainly isn't lightweight. However, it is nicely balanced. This one is going to last me a long time. I'm a happy camper!!

Superb choice / superb price and value
Been building my collection of Rockingham forge knives as an avid home cook! These are professional quality, affordable in price and have no hesitation to recommend! I am building my collection of the Equilibrium range, but other ranges / styles available to suit budget and personal preference in design, look and feel! Not sure if any significant difference in material or quality accorss the different ranges but happy to say that the Equilibrium range and price Point is definitely one to be considered for a home chef looking for quality knives that will last!

Great quality knife
I've owned several Wüsthof knives and this is every bit as good, at a fraction of the cost. It's razor sharp out of the box and has a sleeve you can keep it in, so as to protect the blade edge. It's really well made and I'd highly recommend this brand/product.

Very good knives, wish they were slightly bigger
Really great knives and very close to my Robert Welch one in terms of how solid it feels in the hand, how easily it slices through my steaks etc. just wish it was slightly bigger but love these. Definitely worth it over cheaper ones.

Incredibly sharp and lightweight
I love the contour of the knives from the handle and how light and easy they are to use.

Nice chopper
If you're going to buy a cleaver then get a heavy one like this - lightweight ones bounce off tough bones and joints whereas this one keeps on going through. Use a thick heavy chopping board and keep your fingers well out of the way! The steel is a bit soft but that's OK, harder steel might well chip/shatter and it is easy to sharpen - it doesn't need to be razor sharp to do it's job. If you have ever used your best chef's knife for a bit of cleaving then don't - you'll likely damage it in the end. Buy one of these instead.

Great value knife.
Bought as a Christmas present. Son very happy with it, as is everyone else in the household who sneakily uses it! Extremely sharp. Beautifully balanced. Useful size, being between 6 and 8 inch cooks knives but with the much broader blade. This and a small paring knife is pretty much all that you need. Arrived in a nice box which it is still kept in. Great quality for the price.
