Staedtler Mars Micro 775-05 Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm (Pack of 10)

After trying other brands, nothing beats Staedtler Mars Micro for pencil quality and lead quality. Leads don't "slip" in use. Huge selection of lead refills readily available.

I’ve used these pencils for years and, in my opinion, they really are the best on the market. They are priced well for the quality but not so expensive that when they are inevitably lost (or more likely “borrowed”), it isn’t too much of a big deal to buy some more. However, it looks like Staedtler have changed their design. I didn’t notice until I started writing and then the redesign was very apparent. The most significant change is to the diameter of the barrel (please see the pictures). The new ones are a couple of mm bigger which sounds like nothing but is really noticeable if you have regularly used these things for long periods. Also, while the new Mars is slightly longer overall, the steel tip is shorter. This has the effect of bringing your fingers closer to the page so maybe giving a slight change in writing style. The new design does feature a retracting lead sleeve, assumedly to protect it from damage if it’s dropped (I guess?) It’s still a great mechanical pencil but it will take some time to get used to the adjustments.

Fantastic pencil, but ordered a pack of 10 and received a single pencil.

Wanted a pencil, and this seemed to be a good one according to all the reviews I read on Amazon. I was surprised when my order arrived as a box of 10 pencils and not just one as I thought, but never mind as some of my friends are very happy with there present. Will teach me next time to look more closely at the order. I am still very pleased with this pencil as it writes perfectly

Used daily for plans and illustrations - bought these for years and there's nothing to compare. Bit expensive but worth it.

Good pencils but one missing from package

Prima Bleistift, super zum schreiben und angenehm in der Hand. Nur um Verwirrung auszuschliessen: in der Packung ist nur ein Bleistift vorhanden (auch wenn das Foto drei zeigt).

Material básico pero que cumple perfectamente para lo que es. Tiene el agarre de la punta de metal. Buena marca y todo perfecto.

I got to an age when my 0.5 and 0.7mm Staedtlers just broke all the time. Maybe the leads are weaker these days? But this 0.9mm is tough. I think another few years and I have to go for 1.2mm
