You can stop hunting. These are what you’re looking for.
End of the search! For years I have used the frozen “ready” natto to inoculate my instant pot steamed soy beans. My track record was not bad, but not perfect, and the results were more variable than one would like. I bought these spores just to see how they work. Five batches on, the results have been great: perfect every time, even in variable quantities and when the incubation vessel was perhaps more deeply packed than is wise. These are now my go-to natto spores. I only wish I could buy in greater quantities and, thus, at a better price. But perhaps that is just the price of living on the other side of the world from the places where they do such things properly…

Easy Natto starter powder
Very simple, just mix with a little warm water. I use the water the soya beans were cooked in and then gently mix into the soya beans.

Work Well
Sprinkled a packet on 500g of SoyBeans and put in my ninja on ferment for 24 hours Worked great Froze some of that, and subsequently used a small part of that to make more batches. So this will last a long time, natto is nice.

Active bacteria
I used them to make natto. It produced very good natto. There are no instructions unless you know japanese but I used one sachet to ferment 250 gr dried beans. Arrived on time.

pretty good, but have to double up.
if you follow instructions for 250g of dried soy beans, I would reccomend 2 packs, not 1. Other than that, can't compain. Makes good natto.
