CRESSI Metis/Action Cam Mask - Unisex Reduced Volume Dive Mask with Action Cam Mount, One Size

I've recently returned from a holiday in the Caribbean where I carried out a dozen dives wearing the Cressi cam mask. I've read some of the reviews regarding 'fogging'. Dive masks require proper preparation prior to using for diving/snorkelling. I spent around half an hour using a specialist dive mask glass cleaning compound and it was time well spent. After preparation, all that was required prior to entering the water, was some Cressi anti-fog spray, a quick rinse and I didn't have a single instance of fogging througout any of my dives. I found the mask sealed well on my face and this was without the straps being pulled too tight. With the snorkel attached using a detachable clip, it didn't cause any issues with the seal. On almost all of my dives, I wore a gopro Hero session 5 mounted on the mask in a waterproof case. The housing needs to be mounted using a long reach allen key which I found simple enough though I accept for some it could be a bit fiddly. I filmed some great footage of my dives using this mask, basically whichever way my head was pointing, the camera filmed what I was looking at, the whole point behind me buying the mask in the first place. In summary, I like the mask, it does exactly what I bought it for, to film my dives. I found it seals well on my face, isn't uncomfortable and it looks great. The mask certainly attracted the attention of the other divers I was with. I stress that correct mask preparation for new dive masks is essential prior to first use to prevent fogging. There's plenty of advice and tutorials online to help with this.

Beware the action cam mount does not allow a gopro screw to fit. You will need to grind off the raised part of the gopro screw to make it work properly. I contacted Cressi but they were little help.

Good piece of kit, nose slot is on the smaller side for me but I do have a big nose... would recommend just getting a lighter and using it to burn of residal off the glass (just a second or too and wipe. Then cost with toothpaste) no fogging whatsoever. Would definitely recommend. Go pro sits well, just work with the go pro to get the right techniques so bubbles don't constantly appear in shots/block view of the fish your videoing. All in all. Great piece of kit would definitely recommend.

Love this mask! It's my first Cressi mask and the quality is amazing! The camera feels very secure since you have to use an allen key to attach it. Just remember to point the camera downwards very slightly. It doesn't work as well for snorkelling because the camera spends most of the time up above the water. Other than that I love it!

Fault in the design: the screw that holds the gopro case is too close to the mask frame, quite impossible to turn! It gets stuck and so uncomfortable. Getting another 1cm in the design will definitely fix the pblm

Top quality product by Cressi well made from quality materials. But at a price. Used this scuba diving with my gopro with no problems. The mask is small but i have a large head and it fitted fine and did not leak at all.

Procuct as descirbed and advertised. The silicone area of the mask covers a wide portion of the face and should suit most face shapes. The band is easily adjustable as well. The overall quality of the mask seems pretty decent as well.

Great mask. Obviously my head and face may differ from yours, best to try one on if you can.

Aunque el campo de visión sea un poco reducido la calidad de la silicona es muy buena, ajustan perfectamente, las recomiendo.

Déçu par un masque soit disant de la marque Telesin acheté sur Amazon pour 20 euros qui ne correspond pas aux photos et d'une qualité médiocre et que seulement une housse est de la marque telesin. J'ai fait le retour et j'ai acheté celui de cressi. Qualité et confort au rendez vous. Je reviendrais après utilisation.

Acquistata in previsione di una (purtroppo ancora molto) prossima vacanza sul Mar Rosso, si va ad affiancare alle tante altre che già ho ma tutte sprovviste di attacco per Action Cam, cosa che invece cercavo assolutamente. Le alternative erano diverse ma alla fine questa Cressi sembra davvero un'ottima scelta. La costruzione è di prim'ordine con vetro temperato per le lenti, cinghioli regolabili con estrema facilità grazie ad un meccanismo rapido e comodo. Il silicone del facciale è morbidissimo e aderisce alla perfezione: la classica prova inspirando col naso dimostra una perfetta aderenza al volto. L'alloggiamento per il naso (e il mio non è certo piccolissimo) è assolutamente comodo e non provoca nessun fastidio. L'attacco per la action è integrato nel frame della maschera (in modelli simili di altre marche è fissato al frame con una vite anziché essere integrato) e ciò costituisce una importante garanzia per la sicurezza della cam. Nota di "demerito" per il sistema di aggancio a vite, con , anziché il classico "perno" nero lungo , una vite esagonale con , dall'altra parte, un dado che conviene fissare con una punta di colla se non lo si vuole perdere. Conviene portarsi dietro una piccola chiavetta esagonale da 4 per agevolare aggancio e sgancio della Action. Per il resto, l'aggancio è monolitico, la qualità costruttiva è top e la comodità sembra fuori discussione. Dopo prova approfondita aggiornerò. Per ora, nonostante la vite di aggancio "discutibile", sono certo del mio acquisto e lo consiglio senz'altro. 5 stelle senza dubbio. Aggiungo un breve video illustrativo. Picked this up before a trip to the Dominican Republic. I used it for both SCUBA and snorkeling. It fit well, and did not leak at all. The glass is nice and clear, and didn't steam up when treated in the normal way... I was worried bubbles from my secondary would occlude the video, but it rarely did. You DO need a hex key to mount the camera to your goggles... I was able to pick through my tool chest and found one that fit... Pretty sure it came from a popular Swedish build your own furniture kit. My ONLY complaint is it is better for SCUBA than snorkeling. The mount puts the camera up fairly high, and it will frequently pop out of the water when snorkeling.
