Great quality and cheaper than HD
This valve works as expected. Shockingly I purchased it and two 3/8" brass hose barbs for 1/2 of what HD wanted.

Good replacement for the PVC ball valves.
Good valves. Use on water lines around farm. The PVC valves used to hold up, but they fail rather quickly now...so replacing them with these brass valves.

GREAT option for replacing the drain valve on hot water heaters
The drain valve on my hot water heater is poorly made and becomes easily clogged with calcium and other junk in the tap water, making it impossible to drain. The stock valve on most hot water heaters have a narrowing at the point inside of the cylinder that opens and closes. By purchasing this ball valve, two brass nipples, and a cap I was able to make a superior drain valve that does not get clogged and makes it possible to fully drain my hot water heater. Note that the cap is optional but will prevent a curious toddler or little kid from becoming burned by scalding hot water, and will also prevent insects from squatting inside of the nipple. Just screw the cap on and apply a bit of torque with a wrench.

This works as advertised, I bought a set of 3 for my sprinkler system for the yard as my older ones busted the previous year in the winter due to water still being in the valves although I blew out the water out of the pipes before winter sat in. But anyways I bought this to replace those broken ones and it worked flawlessly during summer months, I just blew the lines out for the winter again and will see if it survives the harsh Canadian winters or not.

This full port ball valve is not concave but rather made out of a solid piece of stainless steel. The threads are even. Easy handle turn. Very high quality. Highly recommend
