This is a nice medium-sized hot water bottle. While a regular electric heating pad might be better in some conditions, I use this in my camper when I don't have power to spare. The heat lasts quite a while and worked well on my arthritic knee. The cover is nice and soft, and can be removed and laundered. My only wish is they made another one that was larger.

I've coped with pain from a bicep tendon injury for two years. This hot water bottle is helping me get the first real relief I've had. I fill it from the kettle and add cool water from my tap. It stays hot for hours after I fill it, and the weight of the water combined with the heat soothes my shoulder pain tremendously. I have to recline on my couch so it stays on my shoulder, but that's a plus, really. The outer bag is almost baby blanket soft, and the starry pattern on midnight blue fabric just makes me happy to look at. The screw on top is easy to insert, turns smoothly, and doesn't leak, even if you're leaning back while using the hot water bottle. This is a no-brainer purchase. I'd give it ten starts if I could.

Item as described, it holds a lot of water, is sturdy and the cover is very soft. I have used it without the cover mostly however I would recommend it, it's easy to fill, transmits heat well and is easy to clean and store. I'm pleased with the purchase.

I love these. I bought two. One in the lavender color and the other in green. The covers are perfect. Soft and snuggly but they won't collect pet hair the way some of the fluffier covers probably would. I am loving having these on cold winter nights.The matter of using ice though is that the opening is only about the size of a quarter. It's not practical to try and slip a bunch of ice through it. I read another review that said even using crushed ice, it was challenging to get it in. So if you want warmth and not ice, I highly recommend these bags. They hold the heat and they are comforting for what ails you.

On the smaller size but super lovely soft green cover and the bottle itself does the job. Tip: fill it full otherwise it loses heat rather quickly.

The cover is lovely. The hot water bottle works well. No leaks and keeps the heat in.
