Decent
I've used this on camping trips and was good. Small enough to fit easy into rucksack and makes a change to sitting directly on the grass for extended periods.

Light, compact and keeps your seat dry
A fairly generic item nowadays but useful all the same. Very light n=material and construction makes this unnoticeable in the ruck sack and it folds well into a compact shape. Provides a reasonable amount of comfort when sitting on impromptu stops, for a quick cuppa or when at camp.In comparison to other, very similar, sit mats I have I would say the material used is a little lighter than others and the dimples are marginally larger. Whilst it still provides a degree of comfort, and protection from the damp, it's not as comfy as some others and I don't know if the material will be as robust in the long term, not only in use to sit on but also how long the folds last before tearing. It's also a little pricier than some of the other, generic, brands.Four stars for now but I'll update this review if anything changes in the long term.

It really works.
Until now I used a kneeling pad on my hiking lunch breaks. My new seat pad is by far more comfortable and keeps my back warm as well. Lightweight, comfortable and isolating.

shaped foam stuff, 16" x 12" opened
This looked like something we could use for sitting on the sea wall when taking pictures of the birds. When it came, I was quite surprised that it is just a 4 fold piece of stiffish foam stuff with silvering to one side.It measures 1 foot on the long side when folded and each fold is 4" wide so you get a 1 ft x 16" rectangle to sit on when opened. The pieces are all about 1/2" thick visually but they are a moulded bump pattern so the actual thickness of the flat edge bits is 1/4"An average weight adult person's seat area will fit on it .It isn't going to last long if used on many surfaces with unevenness e.g. craggy rock, large shingle, twiggy forest floor .I'm an average weight for my height and found just sitting on it on a wooden chair, some of the foam bumps were already permanently misshapen. This will be fine for sitting on damp wooden benches as it is waterproof and adds warmth to your seat so it would be useful if you like walks with café or pub breaks along the way.For dog walking where there are benches with rain spots or dew dampness, metal benches, manky wooden seaside benches. For the sea wall ,it will work to avoid that cold sensation from rock and concrete .Not sure how long lived it would be in that scenario.I feel like it needs some sort of reinforcing outside layer and more density to the foam.I like the idea of it, it does feel warm compared with not using it .At present, it is £9.99 which seems quite expensive for what it is .
