It worked well since I bought it (2 and a half years ago). This morning, though, the glass completely shattered into small shards as I walked past it, and accidentally brushed it with the side of my foot. I feel like I dodged a bullet given I came out unscathed, but I can only wonder what could have happened if I were standing on top of it when it happened. 3 stars because it served me well while it lasted (it always gave me two separate readings given two positions but that's all right), but I'm switching to a stainless steel platform seeing what I've seen. Hope this review helps potential buyers and manufacturers alike.

A great looking scale but mine did not come with a battery. Had to go out and buy my own battery which cost half the price of the scale. Probably wouldn't have bought it if I had known that.

Company contacted me and the problem was fixed. (It is very nice looking but it came with no battery which it was suppose too. I now have to buy some batteries which are very expensive or cheap but don't ship with prime. If the scale works I am not sure at this point, hopefully after all of this it will be the 5 stars the other reviewer rated it.)

This scale is so-so, and reflects what you pay for it, I guess. I was considering returning it for a long time, but finally I kept it, even if I am not very satisfied. The problem is, a scale should measure your wait well. This one does not. It is not very sensitive. It gives me for 4-5 days always exactly the same weight (even at the 0.1 lb level of precision). How can my weight be always exactly the same for days and days? Then, it suddenly changes of even 1-2 pounds per time, and will keep the new measure for many days again... obviously, it is not working properly! The design is great though.

Looks nice and is easy to read. I was shocked one day when it said that I weighed 64 lbs, but I stepped on the scale again and it came up with the right weight.

Waste of time. One minute I'm 200lbs the next I'm 110lbs. Waste of money..do not buy! I've ordered about 10 things from amazon and only one item has worked properly and didn't have any damage to it. Check your local stores before thinking about Amazon!Lesson learned.... again.

I've been using this scale about 3 times a week since I purchased it about 2 years ago now, and it still works as well as ever! I turn it off in between uses, so the battery is still going strong. You can set it as kilograms or pounds by removing the back panel and flipping the switch left or right - so simple! The glass is solid and has withstood a few drops. It's easy to clean with a bit of glass cleaner. The scale must be used on a hard and level wood/tile/etc surface, not on carpet.This may be a one-off problem, but the only quirk about this scale is that it reads about 3 pounds heavier on the first weighing. Every subsequent time it will weigh properly, just the first time stepping on is always off by 3 pounds.

It was very cheap and didn't even work. I guess you get what you pay for. I sent it back.
