Good to catch up with a classic series.

Vaguely remember this when I was really young, one of the characters from a space ship that had landed on a different world was using a bent pin and some cotton as a rope & hook to climb up onto a table for some reason, a bit like the borrowers. When I saw that I could get the whole series 1 & 2 for less than £15 I snapped it up and shall be watching it after I have finished Bergerac. Really looking forward to seeing this and finding out the full story of how they got there and if they got back home.

I saw most of this series on TV when it was shown in 1968, so it was nice watching the episodes I missed. It fascinated me then how they managed to film adults as small people against people of normal size. But of course, if you look at the extras on the discs it tells you how it was done. I enjoyed being taken back to a time that did not have the today special affects and if you like this sort of film series, you will enjoy this box set. It is a shame they did not do a series three to finish and tidy up the loose ends at the end of series two. I enjoyed it and think it was a good buy.

I thought about buying this box set a while back but was a little worried that it wouldn't be as good as I remembered from when I watched it on tv in the early 90's. I started watching them again with my two boys (4 & 7 year old) and now we're all hooked on it!It's difficult to put my finger on precisely what it is that I love about this show, but I am on disc 3 of series 1 now and so far each one has had a good storyline, cool dramatic music and a likeable cast.Really pleased to have these on DVD and 51 episodes for £20.....bargain!

Absolutely brilliant 60’s sci-fi 😊 strangely compelling and so much fun 👍 my 11 year old daughter loves it, it’s completely caught her imagination!! the giants hands are just fab 😂 I can’t remember the last time we’ve spent so much ‘family’ time watching something 😊 Fingers tightly crossed for a blu-ray remaster 🤞

While yes, this needs a region free player in North America, it will play easily on any common laptop that has a DVD drive. You can then output that to your external monitor or maybe even a television.Totally loving this! Great transfers of the entire show with some features providing background on the show and all at a great price.Highly recommended!!

Despite every movie having an anti-social character, this series makes up for it in content! It's fun living in the past, even if it isn't from "around here"! If younger science fiction lovers haven't seen this, buy it today!
