This Dutch classic literally means "syrup waffle". Deriving from the Netherlands back in the 19th century, it is made of two thin layers of baked dough with a caramel-like filling in the middle. This delicious treat is fresh, chewy, and sweet. Open this box and enjoy your very own Stroopwafel directly from Holland. Perfect as a snack straight from the box or accompanied with your favorite hot drink. The best way to enjoy a Stroopwafel is to simply place one on top of your favorite hot drink for about 2 minutes. Once the caramel has softened, enjoy.

Ok, these are amazing
I flew United on my last flight and was given these as a snack. I always give my snack to my wife, but she was enjoying these and offered me a bite. I took it back! These are great. They’re crunchewy. And I like that. Caramel in the middle but not messy. Perfect for snacking. I ordered some for a small snack with my coffee. These will be a staple at my house from now on.

These have become a holiday tradition
These. Are. Delicious.Everyone in our family, and all guests who have tried these love them. They rest nicely on top of a cup of hot coffee, tea, or cocoa, and they soften as they are warmed up. Imagine a fresh, warm, malted caramel waffle cone, then dip it in your tea. So good!

Worth it with minor downfalls
When the product arrived, it was shipped in a regular Amazon plastic bag mailer which is why I believe the bottom of each cookie bag is filled with crumbs. Other than that, the cookies are amazing and taste fresher than the ones I bought from Target. In addition, 40 cookies for $19 was a steal!! At Target I paid $7 for a box of 8 cookies. Overall it’s a great product!

Poor Quality
These are terrible. I usually buy these in the pack of 8 but saw these online and it was cheaper this way. First, they're a lot smaller than normal and if you put them over your coffee mug to warm they'll fall right in. Second, they taste awful and nothing like the original. Third, they were crushed in the box. The box wasn't damaged but the cookies inside were meaning they were packaged like that. I'm unsure if mine is a fluke but I'm going to stick to buying them in the store vs on Amazon.

Cookies were a bit hard, but tasty
The first cookie I tried was very hard and difficult to break apart. The expected taste was in there somewhere, but getting to it took a lot of chewing and difficult biting. That said the others were better and I did end up eating them. I think the top cookie in each package is the hardest. I originally gave this a 2, but as I continued to eat and actually enjoy them, I realized I needed to increase the rating. They were at a very good price, so not a bad deal considering.
