Sturdy
I bought this as a guardian for ground feeding birds as actual guardians were so expensive. Works well with a couple of pegs holding it down. Very sturdy material.

Traditional style - survives harsh weather conditions
I make my own hanging baskets every autumn and spring so always in need of a spare one or two during the change over between end of summer/beginning of autumn and end of winter/ beginning of spring - this basket fits the bill perfectly. I prefer traditional style hanging baskets like this one as I like to line my baskets with moss which requires this lattice type construction. Nice strong chains too - these type of baskets usually last for years even given the severity of Yorkshire winters!

Bargain for the price
Exactly what I needed, good quality over all and compared to other prices a total bargainWe used hammerite black spray paint to incorporate into the garden theme, worked well and looked great

Large Hanging Baskets
I bought these because (apparently) the blackberries I ordered (Black Cascade) needed to go into 16-inch hanging baskets.I didn't think too much about this when ordering (that's what the website said they needed so that's what I ordered), but when they arrived realised that 16 inches is big. So once they are full of liner, soil and plants they are quite heavy and having to lift them onto the branch (I hung it in one of the trees in our garden) took an effort. I wasn't 100% sure I was going to manage it but did just about with the first one. However, I decided to plant the second blackberry into a garden container rather than a basket. Given the choice again I would go for a smaller hanging basket and cross my fingers that the plant would be okay as I think the 16-inch baskets are too big.The baskets themselves seem well made and so far the chains have supported the full basket without issue. The opening on the hook of the basket is quite narrow. If you are hanging on another hook this won't be an issue, but if you are planning to hang the basket over something you may need to open up the hook a little bit to hang it.Overall - I'm pleased with the baskets I bought, and will probably convert the basket I haven't used into some sort of bird feeding station as lots of people seem to be doing.

Great way to keep the big birds out!
I ordered two Kingfisher 16 inch Hanging Baskets to use as a cage holder for my fat ball feeder! I was so fed up with the rooks, crows and magpies guzzling down 5 fat balls a day, costing me a fortune and leaving nothing for the little birds, that I searched for a solution and found a suggestion on YouTube that works! I removed the hanging chain from one of the baskets, placed the fat ball feeder inside it and used some garden wire to attach it to the top, then sat the basket on top of the other one which still had it's chain and wired the two together. The big birds have tried to get to the fat balls but have finally given up in defeat, it took a few days for the little ones to get used to their new feeder but now the small to medium sized birds can go into the 'cage' and eat safely - sometimes there are 5 or 6 of them in there at the same time! Whoever came up with the original idea is a genius - there are several versions of this on Youtube, so if you are searching for a way to discourage the big rooks and magpies from eating everything - try this!!

Met my expectations for a 'lower end' product, great value
it's exactly type of thing you see in garden centres and well known diy retailers but great value! It was very well packaged as well. Clips are a little fiddly, chain is not terribly robust but I knew that before I purchased it, which is why it gets a 5 star rating - it totally met my expectations. If you want something particularly robust / trendy / classy - this probably isn't for you
