V12 Detect Slim Origin Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, Yellow/Iron

I’ve purchased & returned 2 other vacuums this year because they did not do a good enough job. I have a 1 yr old, so it’s imperative that my floors are spotless (anything she finds in her many travels across the floor goes straight into her mouth). I just used this vacuum for the first time & it is astounding what is in the canister after only a few passes across the living room! I’m simultaneously thrilled and disgusted. I have yet to try the hard wood attachment or any of the other attachments, but I’m so impressed by what this unit picked up from gliding it over the rug without having to go back and forth multiple times. I wasted time having semi clean floors due to the inferior products I ordered prior to this one. Worth every penny. It is also light weight and very easy to maneuver. I read reviews that said it’s loud but I really don’t find it to be louder than others. I can’t speak to the battery as I usually only get to clean in short bursts. I cannot wait to use the hand held attachment in my car! I wrote the review above after I’d just gotten this item. Now I’ve had it a few weeks and I stand by the fact that it’s a fantastic machine. I was vacuuming this morning and it shut off, battery was charged, canister was empty, but it flashed a message to empty the canister, which I’d recently done & it was nowhere near full. So, I took off the canister and there was a condensed ball of dust and hair (think laundry lint, the kind you pull off the dryer screen after washing a lot of heavy cotton sweatpants, only gross because it came from the floors and not off clean laundry). I pulled what I could out of the hole where the canister attaches, but could not get all of it. I had to take the long cylindrical stick piece off, and the carpeted floor attachment off at the bottom so all I had was the long hollow stick. Fortunately I have a thing that looks like a long silver spring with a handle on one end with a piece you push in with your palm to make the claw at the other end open and grab stuff. I used it to pull two more big globs of this crap out of the stick part of the vacuum. They did not appear to be so huge or dense they wouldn't be shuttled into the canister so this is a little disappointing & I hope I never have to do this again!

I moved from a large house with hardwood floors & area rugs to a one level apartment (with mostly wall to wall carpeting :( For the past 40 years I used an Electrolux tank which did a great job but was heavy and cumbersome. This Dyson stick vac has been great in the new place! I never thought I would part with my Electrolux but this Dyson stick vac is all that I need and it's been working great (especially considering I hate wall to wall carpeting). As others have noted the little green light for the bare floor in my kitchen and bath is AMAZING! You see every little thing (and the Dyson picks it up!). Now, if someone calls and says they're on their way over I can quick grab the stick vac and run it around a bit to freshen things up. The Dyson would have been great on the stairs in my old house but I would caution that the disposal canister doesn't hold alot and there is no vacuum bag so you have to shake it out. I've had no problem with the battery life in this 2 bedroom apartment but I'm sure it would not have lasted in my old house. Basically I am a real fan of this Dyson stick vac...it's suctioning up a ton of dog hair, it's light weight and it snakes under impossibly small spaces.

The vacuum is lightweight and very maneuverable. It has a bright light in the vacuum head that shows up dust that is not found by other vacuums. Easy to charge and use.

This thing now is loose in just 2 months of purchase. Tomorrow I’m going to a Dyson to exchange this problem. Still need to do a review. There’s nos justification for a 800 vacuum be like this in just 2 months. Don’t buy this thing if you think you get quality just because paying more. Disappointing
