I ordered these as my wife was looking for good old fashioned linen, flour sack towels to dry dishes, and for general use in the Kitchen. They are the genuine item, and have a quality feel to them. My wife loved them.

Real good don’t have a problem

Was given one of these towels (painted) and have enjoyed the size (18X25), the hanging loop, the absorbency, and the feel and thickness of the cotton fabric. The edges are finished well, sewed down, no strings to trim even after multiple washings. Ordered 24 for Thanksgiving Day project with my family to give away . Other four-sack towels have been too large, too thin, and became rags after only a few washings.

very good. Nice and square, extra thick. Perfect for rising bread or pizza dough.

not as thick as some I had decades ago, but thicker than the ones I've been purchasing. (these are thick enough to embroider) love that they are already the size I need too! I use these in place of paper towels for wiping down my counters and such - I keep them folded in 4ths and then refold as needed when the outside gets too nasty (ie as I clean, not that I reuse them multiple times before washing). then I pitch them in a small garbage can I keep in my cabinets to launder later. so glad I found these as now I don't have to cut down larger ones and hem them. This size is easy to fit in a drawer for easy access. I wasn't concerned about shrinkage or stain resistance etc since I'm just using for cleaning... but may update my review after the first couple washes. now I can get rid of my old ones!

These are beautiful high quality towels like mom used to use.

Last year I ordered the lito flour sack towels. LOVED THEM! Reordered some about 8 months ago and they were not satisfactory at all. Stiffer and far less absorbent. Eventually I realized that I had been sent a more generic version of a flour sack towel in spite of having reordered lito via Amazon. The label did not say lito. Not intending to make the same mistake I then ordered again specifically LITO via Amazon vs relying on the "buy it again" option. Package in arrived in early January and I promptly washed the half to use. I put all of the unsatisfactory generics in a different cabinet to use for other tasks vs drying dishes. I was surprised to note that this pile GREW larger even after I had washed the remaining lito package. In other words half the package was labeled lito and the other half was not. Half had the generic flour sack label and that half also was stiffer and less absorbent. I reordered yet again and received another package of lito the other day. To my surprise the package contents were 9 with a lito tag [one sewn on lopsided] and 3 had the same generic tag I previously associated with the towels I hated and won't use because they just don't work. I have not ordered from lito directly. Is this something that is a "behind the scenes" issue with Amazon? Are they swapping out different flour sack towels brands? I have no idea. I emailed lito directly - twice. No response as of yet which concerns me. Photos: The faded lito label is the one from my beloved flour sack towels - they are soft and absorbent and from the first Amazon order. The other pictures are from the recent order I received. Different label. Lopsided label and then the generic label. The inconsistencies bother me. The lack of response bothers me even more. Not sure I can recommend anymore until I can get a handle on how to obtain the original ones consistently.

Used primarily for straining stock and in the proving of bread. Wouldn’t use anything else. As this material cleans up perfectly and should last for years; I doubt that I will ever need more. But if I do, would buy again without hesitation.

Perfect dough towels. Bought to try as my usual tea towels were not cutting it against rising sourdough. After a quick wash and dry before first use, they were put to the test and I will be buying more !!

I purchased these as tea towels and was very impressed by the price, quality and very fast delivery. These towels are a lovely creamy white color, they’re an excellent size (big enough for a picnic spread), and have a lovely texture. They dry my dishes and glassware beautifully without leaving lint and look good hanging around my kitchen. Thanks!
