This is exceptional sesame oil. It has such a great flavor! We have received it before with a cracked lid that caused it to leak, but I will continue to purchase this product for the wonderful flavor and quality. It is delicious sprinkled on salads and in Asian cuisine.

My oriental and Indian dishes have never tasted better! Great on steamed / boiled and browned pot stickers. Perfect flavor at a great price!

I’ve bought a number of Kevaia products snd feel quite solid about this brand. I’m sensitive to smells, of all kinds, and understand food processing from traditional methods to modern chemical extraction, which I won’t buy or use or eat. The aroma is earthy, rich, it’s not over roasted and burned like many brands, and the flavor is clean. There aren’t any chemical smells or tastes, and I do a lot of Asian dishes and deep frying - even a few drops on a rich dashi broth is like a magical sweet spot. After deep frying, once cooled I strain and recycle, adding an umeboshi (Japanese pickled plum) as an alkaline and it doesn’t go off or rancid …. I appreciate that it’s high quality and in a gallon. Given the distribution channel and the fact that here in the US, we don’t really produce our own cooking oil short of foaming corn oil that’s glyphosate laden, or canola maybe, which shoujd never be used except for your garden tools, or almond from California whose beautiful orchards can not sustain the extended drought, fires, and high water volume dependence, I’d say, guve ut a try. If you’re new to roasted sesame oil, try it in stir fry, roasted vegetables, salad dressings with lots of scallions/garlic, and for a predominantly plant based diet, it’s an excellent source of calcium but also vegan oil/fat. I add just a bit to soup broths. It makes the much richer with deeper flavor. If you don’t put too much, you don’t really taste it, but get to experience the feeling if taking in nourishing fats thst our bodies crave and need. For spa days, it’s great for the hair and scalp. I massage it in The night before I’m going to wash my waste length hair, massage it into my skin (and face) and it legit gives a certain glow. The price and quality plus the dependable quality of kevaia products has made me brand loyal.

Light flavor, not a deep toasted flavor. We ran out of the traditional toasted sesame oil used in Korean cooking and decided to try Kevala brand. It is good quality but unfortunately not the deep nutty flavor we need for our Korean cuisine.

Much tastier plain sesame oil. I use this for sautéing shrimp for Asian dishes. Really delicious!

Pleasant toasted almond balanced essence. Fresh. Light enough for dressing green and/or vegetable salads. Functional for cooking. Addictive. Good quality.

No leaking! Very well wrapped in bubble wrap AND boxed by itself within my order. Cap to bottle also wrapped about inch down on bottle. But bottle itself was oily so there was cap leak. Nice glass bottle. 8fl oz. Hacer never used this kind of oil so can't attest to quality yet. Going to attempt making sesame chicken sauce!

This stuff is wonderful. I cook every day from scratch for my family of 6, as well as for our housemate (he eats a LOT!) When trying to create delicious, nutritious vegan food I rely on interesting and flavorful spices and sauces. This toasted sesame oil is KEY in many of my recipes. With just a few teaspoons of this oil, I can create incredibly satisfying dishes such as vegetable Lo Mein, General Tso's tofu, spicy sesame noodles, spicy peanut noodles, and endless variations of these themes. A little bit goes a long way. For people who don't have the time or inclination to follow complicated recipes, a little of this oil added to tamari makes for a very satisfying sauce for plain pan-fried tofu. Generally I try to cook with low amounts of added oil, so I love that the flavor is strong enough in this product to use just a little. I was afraid that buying such a large amount for such a great price would leave me with less flavorful oil than the one I was buying at the local health food coop (at 10 times the price or more) but happily that is not the case! Given the small amount needed to add savory toasted sesame flavor to any recipe, even with the copious amount of cooking I do, this large container lasts me many months. I'm so happy this is available in this size, at this price. It's a staple in my kitchen now.
