It took me a little time to get used to this kind of vacuum cleaner because it's a very different way of use than a regular one. It's also quite heavy, so for older people it might not be very good. But now that I'm used to it, I can't imagine living without it. The suction is great, it lifts so much doghair out of the carpets, it's very good for pet owners. The carpets look brabd new after use. It's also easy to empty and clean, and after a few weeks of using this Hoover I haven't had any hair tangled in the brush yet, unlike some other brands. The cord length is good but never long enough in my opinion, so I use an extention lead.I love the fact that you can disconnect the hose and use it with the accessory tool, it reaches quite high. You do need to manually stretch the hose with your other hand to prevent the Hoover from falling over, but as soon as you get used to that, it's very handy.I've only used it for a few weeks now so I don't know how long it's going to last, hopefully a good few years.

Well engineered and thought out, good suction, easy to empty, not to heavy! Please we bought this, at a reasonable price!

I like this vacuum very much. It's light and manoeuvrable and has a mode for hard floors or carpet. The hose could be longer, and I wish it had a brush attachment as well as the nozzle. The nozzle slides and clips on nicely, as opposed to just a friction fit. The button to release the hose is hard to push and release, but I expect that might loosen over time. The cannister is easy to release and empty. Suction is great. Overall it's a good vacuum.

Originally I liked the cost, as my expensive Dyson has died of hard work. I need a heavy duty cleaner as we have horses, a dog, a cat and live on a smallholding with lots of Wellington boots in and out. For ease of use I searched for a cordless but realised that to get dried mud etc out of our carpets would have to buy a corded one. When I researched the reviews, I plumped for the Hoover.How glad I am, thanks other Amazon reviewers. This is so effective, collects the debris, hay seeds etc plus the dog and cat hairs. The headlights are amazing too.Thanks for a brilliant product at an affordable price

Brilliant hoover, lightweight works brilliantly even on the tight dense carpet that used to take forever with the old vacuum.Really pleased with it

This is a light but powerful vacuum cleaner with a good size container works well on carpets and hard floors and if you need a cleaner light enough to carry anywhere it does the job well, those are the good points the niggles I have are 1. the wand is quite short so reaching to clear cobwebs from a ceiling is a real pain I have tried to look for an extension wand and can only find a telescope one at £45, 2. the flexible hose is not that flexible and due to the lightness of the machine tends to pull the machine over, 3. you don't get a brush with it which is useful for stairs. Overall it is fair value for the money but be aware of its shortcomings

It's a beast! I have had many cordless battery type cleaners. I feel they are first and foremost great for flooring however, they don't really beat a carpet and leave it looking like new but this does. It's corded which isn't a problem, its incredibly powerful and you'll love it too.

This is a good vacuum cleaner but when your using the machine for cleaning under cushions etc. Because of the very springy hose the machine keeps falling over and hitting you from behind.
