Best splint for Plantar Faciitis!
I did a lot of research on night splints because I've been suffering from plantar faciitis for 6 months now. I've seen a podiatrist, I'm currently in PT, I've changed shoes to ones with better support, etc. One of the suggestions to promote healing is the use of a night splint to keep my foot in a "neutral" postion while sleeping. I've tried a couple of different splints that are fabric with velcro, and the part that is supposed to hold your foot in place is ABOVE the foot. You essentially need to strap yourself in pretty tightly to keep your foot stable and attached to that top piece. Problem is, that tension hurts after an hour or so, and made my foot go numb. They can't work if you can't wear them for an extended period of time. I ordered this unit because it's rigid and supports the foot from below. GAME CHANGER. It did a great job of comfortably holding my foot stable. The very first night of use, I didn't use the wedge piece (which I will work up to) and I was able to wear it all night. Because it had clips and doesnt rely on velcro, it's super easy to put on and take off. In the morning, my foot was noticeably better! I'd like to address a couple of concerns I saw in other reviews: First off, you dont need to strap in tightly. I doesn't take much to stabilize your foot. The comfort level was much better because of this. Secondly, some units rely completely on velcro. This unit has buckles so you adjust your velcro, but then you can just use the clips for easy on and easy off. Thirdly, I almost bought a slightly cheaper splint that LOOKED the same as this one, but I noticed it had been flagged by Amazon as "frequently returned". When I zoomed in, I saw that on that unit, the straps didnt have reinforcement where they attach to the plastic, so they ripped off easily. This unit has reinforced attachment points. Lastly, I saw a person complain that this unit cracked when she tried to walk in it. Yes- there is a piece underneath it that seems to indicate you can walk with it on, but...just don't. It's a night splint, not a foot cast. It's so easy to pop it off to run your "errand" (I throw on a pair of crocs when I have to get up in the middle of the night) and just throw it back on before you tuck back in. Walking in a "cast" with your movement restricted is promoting improper use of your foot and leg muscles and is actually worse for you. TAKE IT OFF lol! Anyway, I love this splint and wished I had trusted my gut and bought it first. It would have saved me time and money, and I might be further along in my healing. I highly recommend it!

Perfect for helping plantar fasciitis heal
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I like this not b/c it allows my foot to fully relax without my fascia tightening. I sleep in it and have for over a year. My plantar fasciitis is healing slowly, but after two years I have returned to running and have very low pain. I can't sleep without this boot! Functionality: This boot allows my foot to relax without tightening. I highly recommend even wearing it in the evenings while you watch TV or read. I have found it the most comfortable to buckle the two lower buckles in an X pattern, which naturally pushes my ankle into a 90° bend. Pain relief: This boot has helped my foot heal, and had given me a lot of pain relief.

Work perfectly fine
I do have plantar fasciitis and getting this medical device using my medical insurance would cost me $200.00, like you can see is a big difference in price and work perfectly fine. My pain went away and my orthopedic doctor is impressed.

Not as Advertised
This boot is advertised as being able to use it on the left or right foot. Something was off when my son tries the boot on and we thought we were putting it on wrong. It was tilted more to the left and after wearing it we realized it was for the left foot, and fit wrong on good right foot! I looked at the bag it came in and sure enough it had an L on it meaning it's NOT compatible for both the right or left foot! This is definitely false advising! So beware if you order this you may or may not get the correct boot for the foot your need! Nothing like almost being out of 30 bucks, and probably not worth the hassle to return it, especially since he wore it a few times. Now we have a product that can't be used!

Eliminated my pain
I developed Achilles tendonitis recently and this brace was the reason I'm back to normal. I wouldn't say it's comfortable because it's not really supposed to be. But it was easier to keep it on long term than others I tried. And it worked over consistent use. No more pain.

Straps can be confusing
I wear a 12 shoe and the large fit perfect. The three straps with buckles seemed at first much too big and would not tighten down to hold my foot/leg in place. Almost sent this back when finally, I figured out that the padding on the straps had to be moved to the left before tightning up the strap next to the buckle end. Once adjusted the boot felt comfortable and secure. This boot is not made for walking around like a cam boot that doctors give to patients to limit their mobility while walking due to ankle injuries or surgeries. Primary time is to wear this is at night. After a few hours though you will need to remove it due to discomfort. I also wore it during the day when watching TV etc. Well worth the cost and is very durable.
