Given to Him

This is probably the 10th or 12th "Given to Him" dvd that I've bought . I've given them as gifts, I've used it in funeral services, I've used it as an illustration in my sermons, etc,etc. Absolutely one of the best DVDs ever.

Wonderful

This is a very poorly edited montage of nature scenes set to average worship songs. There are some beautiful scenes, but all in all the distractions take away from the enjoyment. Fast cuts that make no sense, strange fades from and to unrelated images, time-lapse photography to speed up what doesn't need to speed up. . . all in all, it isn't all that great a DVD. Some of the nature scenes seem to be taken from the anti-Darwin's Theory of Evolution film, the trailer of which is included on the DVD, but that doesn't really make for good viewing during a praise/worship song.All in all, I got the impression that there never was any real sense of what was wanted here--some people just had some nice footage and the rights to some songs, and they spliced the footage together any old way. They ended up making a very mediocre product. They also continually commit my pet peeve by not letting any image stay on the screen for more than five seconds before they replace it with another image. "Look, this is beautiful, but don't look too long! Here's another one!"The best one of these that I've seen has been the Worship Network's "Psalms vol. 1," which they used to give away for free. It's part of a four-part series, but I haven't seen the other three. It beats this one by two miles.The two stars are for the pretty scenes and the halfway decent (but not really special) music. Otherwise, one star for the editing and presentation.

I love this DVD. The songs are beautiful and the photography makes one realize the might and majesty of our Creator God. I HIGHLY recommend!
