Good quality watch
I bought this to replace a quartz watch that was going through batteries at a rate of knots. Used to have a self-winding Seiko many years ago - I lost it at RAF Leuchars airshow in early 1990's - so decided to get another self-winding Seiko. I like the simple styling, the blue watchface looks good, the bracelet strap is good, and the date and day are easy to set. Had the watch for a week and no complaints - the watch is stylish and functional and does what it's supposed to. So far time keeping is good too, and self-winding is great and no more batteries to worry about! On another note the seller gave excellent, prompt service, with the watch ordered on Saturday 28th December 2013 and received on Tuesday 31st December 2013, so even with postal holidays the seller and the Royal Mail came up trumps. The watch was well packaged for transit and was received undamaged.

bargain price for real quality
Our nephew turned 18 this week and we were trying to think of something to buy him that was a gift he would cherish. We don't have a huge budget to play with but had decided a nice watch was the answer. My hubby is a "watch tart" and had managed to buy our own son a Seiko for his birthday so was now on the hunt for one for James, said nephew. This one came up and with the 77% off it made it into the budget....just. Nephew is ecstatic! He says it feels substantial but not too heavy, he has skinny wrists and adjustment is required to the strap, a job for Uncle on Tuesday! There is no way you would think this watch was just £73 thereabouts. It has a nice sweep of the hands....hubby says is is a good sign of quality as I said he is a "watch tart"....the dial is clear and not to big and the strap is nicely made and won't pull his arm hair, again this is important to blokes he informs me :-\. Anyone looking for a good quality watch with under £80 couldn't do any better so we would recommend this watch to all

Nice watch
Bear in mind you need to buy an automatic winding machine, if you don't wear this continuously. Otherwise a stylish watch.

Great value for Seiko quality
I have been a fan of Seiko for a long time now. My last Seiko lasted 30 years. The accuracy isn't as good with these mechanical watches compared to quartz, but for the price you can't knock them. There are no batteries to change, and you would have to spend a heck of a lot more for a Kinetic quartz watch.

Seiko Gents Automatic Blue Dial
This watch arrived promptly and very well packaged in usual Seiko presentation box. I have been wearing it constantly for last three weeks and it is keeping good time, running about 8 to 10 secs fast in 24 hours. According to Seiko this is quite normal in a brand new watch and should improve in a few weeks of running. This is the third Seiko I have had the previous two being quartz and must say they proved utterly reliable over a period of forty years. I decided to go for an automatic this time as I did not wish the inconvenience of having to change batteries. I am delighted with this watch and look forward to many years of legendary reliability. One thing I do notice is the very clear day and date indication which is very wellcome. For the price it is remàrkable value and deserves more than five stars. B.Brown

Reliability
It's reliability and accuracy. I had Sieko watch in the past, used it 24 years and never had any problems. So bought it again.

Nice looking watch but runs slow
It's a lovely looking watch and I've worn it for about eighteen months now, but as many others have noted, it loses time very quickly. In fact it loses about two or three minutes a day and I've taken to setting a minute fast each morning to make sure it's kind of in the right ball park for the rest of the day. I found it annoying at first, but now it's a bit like an old friend who's starting to lose their marbles and forget who they are but you still have a kind of affection for them.
