Strangely Named but Compatible
I did manage to make this work with a Jessinie CJMCU-8051 breakout board. For this particular combination, the accompanying ribbon wire's red-marked side can be placed upward on both the board and the Emulator/Downloader/Programmer, if the programming pins of the Jessenie are soldered pointing up from the top. Upward here means with respect to the silkscreen writing on the board and the case writing on the Silicom (sic) Labs box. So it seems to work with Silicon Laboratories Flash Utility.
