Can you add additional storage to this?

You can add at least one storage hd . I don't know if you can add more than one. I added a 500 GB SSD hardrive with no problems.

I dont have a smart phone or email address. Can i still get it activated?

You'll need a smartphone (or Tablet), as well as an email address and internet access to set up your Tablo.

How many shows can you record at one time?

The 4th generation Tablo has two over-the-air TV tuners. This means that the 4th generation Tablo can support up to two concurrent antenna TV streams or recordings AS WELL AS up to two concurrent free TV streams or recordings.
