Very good quality
Quality-wise, this is great. Thick and holds up both my desk, chair and myself. Chair now rolls around fabulously showing how garbage my previous chair mat was. This is a solid alternative to tempered glass ones. I had thought about those but found limited info whether it can support both desk and chair on uneven carpet. Reviews said this still slides but I used some extra futon grip pads I had. The mat has not budged one bit and since I'm not in the running for prettiest office so this works out perfect. Like what others said, the packaging leaves much to be desired. It's just two cardboard piece stapled along the edges. Not a deal breaker since the mat looks like it can withstand rain and animal chewing.

Finally! No sinking or cracking!
I have had many different chair mats and this one doesn't sink in my low pile rug. This mat is thick and sturdy for hard floors and most carpets. It has a 500lb weight rating, but if you are near that limit, I would not use this on thick carpet, because it will not meet expectations. I can feel it slightly flex as I walk on it at around 250lbs on a low pile rug with a rug pad. The flex is not there when I am in my chair and the chair rolls with little effort, even after being stationary for a period of time. This pad has no grips for carpet and will walk. There is a slight lip around the mat to prevent stubbing or cutting toes and doesn't curl when the chair rolls near it. I have it slightly under my desk to stop the walk and it doesn't warp under that weight. Will update on any issues, if they occur, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. This is worth the price and isn't as scary as a glass mat. This is not rolled and will arrive in a flat box.

Expensive, but worth it!
If you are tired of replacing your desk chair floor mat every 1-2 years because of cracking, this is the mat for you. Yes, it is expensive, but when you consider the durability and expected lifetime of this item, it will pay for itself over the years. This is a rigid, hard and thick plastic that does not bend. It is shipped in a large, flat package which is a good sign (if they cannot bend it for cheaper shipping, then it's the real deal). I've had this mat for about 2 months now and am very satisfied with the quality. The edges are beveled to allow for easy on/off of chair casters and the surface has a very slight 'bumpy' pattern (doesn't affect movement at all) to provide a little grip so you're not sliding all over the place. I expect this will be the last desk floor chair mat I will ever need to buy.

Sturdy but slips around
Bought this thick/stiff mat to replace the old floor mat. Seems like every year or two I have to replace the ones you buy at office depot (even the thicker ones). This new mat is much more sturdy. The other floor mats develop little divits where you chair sits. This floor mat stays perfectly flat. I decided I liked this floor mat, so I actually bought a 2nd one for the other room. My only negative comment (and why it is not 5 stars) is that is doesn't stay put on carpet. It shifts around due to the bottom is flat and slippery. I solved this by using Lok-Lift rug gripper. Now it says in place, but due to the floor mat is clear you can see the tape. So cosmetically not great. But I prefer function over being pretty. Will it last more than a couple years? Time will tell.

I am rolling on it as we speak!!
Very sturdy! no cracks no breaks ..it does slide around a little but other than that is nice. I am a 230-40lb male and it is holding up quite well.

Sturdy but slides around badly
It's well made but will not stay in place. The photo shows how far it slides in 2-3 hours. I've tried multiple different options on the bottom to try and stop it from moving (Slipstick GorillaPads in the picture). Right not I have to move it back into place every day. I'm going to have to replace it It's a same for something that I paid over $200 for.

Fantastic chair mat!
I have been through several chair mats over the years. They end up with cracks, divots, etc. and I have to replace. This one is the Cadillac of chair mats! No dips when you are rolling over it and it is very thick so I can't imagine it cracking. I feel like this will last a very long time and I am so happy with my purchase!

This is the mat you are looking for!
This mat is so much better than the thin plastic bendy ones. Never again!!! Yes, it's pricey comparatively, but it's also the last mat you will need to buy, so consider that. I endured one of the "cheap" (it was still almost $75) plastic ones for 2 years before I got frustrated and tired enough getting my chair wheels stuck under the edge or sinking in one of the spots that bent in. You don't need to be heavyset to benefit from this mat. I weigh 160 lbs and I will never go back to the cheaper ones. The only downside to this mat is that will slide slightly over time on carpet because there is nothing holding it to the ground like the pokey spikes on the bendable mats. You could add tape or some velcro strip to give it some grip, but it will be visible since the mat is see-through. I don't mind having to move it a bit given the alternative. If I add velcro, I will post some pics so you can see how it looks. I use mine with a standing-pad when I'm standing on my feet at my desk and I use it for my chair when I'm sitting. It's really nice and I could not recommend it more. You won't be disappointed!

I've only used the mat for a little over a week, but it seems to be holding up well. The packaging used when shipping the product was very poor. The product arrived in a cardboard sleeve that was open on 3 sides (like a file folder). There were bits of styrofoam clinging to the mat, so there was cushioning in the package at one time. The poor packaging resulted in the mat having some chips along the edge. They really need to improve this aspect. Hopefully the mat stands the test of time.

I have cheaper versions of chair mats for my workstation, but they have not lasted the test of time, typically cracking over time. The Cleartex MegMat is clearly from a different stable. It comes in a rigid package and has the feel of class about it. It may be expensive, but so is the flooring, and I look forward to many years of use from it.
