Perfect for white heads!!!
Ok, hear me out, I literally finished using this product and ran to make a review, this is the first time I've done this! Sorry if there are grammatical mistakes, English is not my first language! First of all you have to use the product for around 3 minutes with some force in your skin so the texture you need shows up which are like little grains of salt stuck in it, I've always struggled with white heads in my chin and nose, the chin ones have always been a headache, I tend to rub them out with my face soap and my fingers to clean them out but it's never enough, I got this product to see if it could help since I saw it was an exfoliator basically and I've tried some kind of brushes before that didn't work. Anyways, this worked perfectly! It left my chin extremely smooth and I can't even see a single white head on it anymore, after using it I cleaned my face again with my soap and continued my skin care with my serums and moisturizer and my skin feels soooo soft. The texture does feel a little rough and CAN hurt a bit if you're too rough but I honestly appreciate the roughness, it took all that gunk out effortlessly! The package is also super super cute! I love the little octopus, the smell is a little weird, it's like herbal I guess? Salty? Oceany? Idk lol but it's not bad and it doesn't stay on the skin afterwards. Sorry for the super long review but I honestly 100% recommend giving it a chance if you're struggling with white heads like me, I've never had black heads so I don't know if this works for that but honestly after seeing how it took care of my white heads/prominent sebaceous filaments? I can say it could work perfectly for black heads as well!

Tiny but MIGHTY!
Okay, first of all, the packaging is ADORABLE and so compact. But don't let the size fool you—this stuff actually works. I’ve been struggling with stubborn whiteheads on my chin and blackheads on my nose for forever, and this pore stick literally cleared them out so easily. I have super sensitive, combo skin, and I love that the ingredients are clean and gentle. It’s super affordable and gives me better results than high-end products. Since I get oily in my T-zone, I layer this under my moisturizer and it keeps me fresh for hours. If you’re on a budget but want that glass skin look, you NEED this. 10/10 recommend!

First impressions...Wow!🤯
There is a TL;DR at the bottom. I have written reviews before, but I only write them for products that actually impress me or extremely disappoint me. Well, let's just say...this product did not disappoint. It kept popping up in my "Products for You" category, so I finally decided to try it. Now, I am lucky enough to not suffer from blackheads, but I do have really bad sebaceous filaments on my nose and chin, as well as ingrown hairs on the lower part of my chin (I have PCOS). I have searched for something to help with the sebaceous filaments for, no joke, years...and nothing actually helped remove the filaments AND minimize the look of my pores. Most products would just get a little bit of the filaments out and leave the pores still looking big, because it wasn't getting all the filament out. This bothered me so much, I have resorted to using one of those metal blackhead remover tools on my nose and chin at least once a week for the last few years. While this method got the filaments all the way out, it also left my skin extremely red, and painful from having to push down so hard to get them out. AND most of the time, my pores didn't really look a whole lot smaller. It sucked, but it sorta worked. I did just that last night, and the filaments had gotten so bad that I gave up after about 15 minutes, and just tried to soothe my sore skin. Well this little dude was delivered today, and I decided to try it right away...and I am SO GLAD I DID!!! As I said above, I did attempt to clean my pores out last night with my usual, painful way and it was not successful this time (sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but it always leaves my skin red and sore). So, my pores were (if possible) bigger this morning. Well...they're not anymore. I genuinely didn't think this little octopus dude could help what force couldn't, but holy crow!! I wish I would have had the forethought to take a before and after picture! My pores were big and red on my nose & chin this morning, but after using this little dude, they are visibly smaller and the redness is almost completely gone! I'm genuinely impressed. Now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't perfect( but what is?) but, it was absolutely worth the money. My pores are not teeny-tiny, but they are visibly smaller and it absolutely did get rid of some of the worst filaments I had (I mean they'll be back, eventually, but for now they appear to be gone). And it is a little drying, but nothing a moisturizer can't handle. It also didn't seem to irritate my skin, at least not any worse than pushing around on it with a hard metal tool does...😆. All in all, this is definitely a product I would tell my closest loved ones to try. So, if you're debating whether or not to get it, just do it. It is actually worth the money. TL;DR- it actually worked and helped remove some stubborn sebaceous filaments on nose and chin. Stop debating on whether to buy it and just get it. I gave four stars because it is kind of drying on the skin, and I'm not sure if it is a long-term fix for the sebaceous filaments or not.

Decent but I don’t get the hype
3 stars because it does exfoliate but the sandy stuff that you think is your unclogged pores it not, the stick jut starts to disintegrate and release exfoliating beads almost

Great stuff - highly recommended!
Holey moley - this cute little bugger works! Saved me some money going to the esthetician. Had 3 stubborn blackheads and after using for a few days, the blackheads just disappeared. I am a 63 yo asian - wish I had this in my teenage years.

Did not rise to expectations based on reviews
I am a big fan of TonyMoly lip stains, and so while looking for something in the way of a cleanser, serum or mask to deep clean my pores, I ran into this cute little Tako product. The reviews were so overwhelmingly positive, and focused on blackhead removal that it seemed this product was a sure thing. Not so for me. While cute, this little tako (and I emphasize, it is tiny, keychain-sized) did not magically pull out blackheads, nor did it do anything at all about the one stubborn whitehead (comedone) near my nose (how could it? Beware of products that claim to 'scrub' or pull away whiteheads, which are cystic. A whitehead is not the same as a pimple that has come to a head; it is too far buried under layers of cells to be affected in any way by topical products). Sadly, this product, which is basically very rough salt in a stick form, could not be expected to perform the miracles I read about. At best, as a (very harsh) exfoliator, it removed oily residue and surface dirt, cleaning just a bit from the tops of my pores. I expect that younger, more hormonal customers may experience temporary breakouts with this type of exfoliant; it is so rough that it might, with frequent use, continually stimulate more oil to rise to the surface of the skin. A big concern I have with very rough exfoliant products, containing coarse salt (as well as sometimes pieces of apricot kernel or walnut shell--beware these products!) is that the exfoliating agent very well might widen the opening of pores, even tearing the skin open at a level that might not at first seem evident, but soon enough, pores treated this way enlarge and coarsen. Had I understood that the salt was this coarse, I would not have purchased it. The only safe exfoliant I have found is made of very fine grains of salt, (usually combined with salycic acid or glycolic acid) that melt away while working on cleaning the pores. I have never found an OTC product that magically deep cleansed then tightened the pores to appear much smaller. That second step needs a sophisticated astringent, usually formulated by a cosmetic dermatologist, which is where I will turn for my next facial products.

It Works!
I have persistent white/blackheads on my chin and large pores across my t zone. Acne targeting cleansers and scrubs genrally don't clear them up or take a week+ to see a change. This product is small but mighty! Its effectiveness exceeded all expections in 2 days! It has cleared up trouble breakouts on my chin and nose crease areas. My pores are noticeably cleaner and smaller. It doesn't contain fragrance but smells very good and clean. It is small, and simple packaging some. Mwy think it seems cheap. It is a solid stick that scrubs with rough texture and requires a waem rinse. Would likely not be good for very sensitive areas. It could be drying, but should be used only on hot spots not all over. I have skin prone to getting dry and red and while it gets redder while scrubbing it is noticeably less red than start within 10mins and hasn't caused over drying.

Not Worthy of the Hype
I have had horrible sebaceous filaments and blackheads for 20+ years and was very excited to try a product with such great reviews. At first use, I was absolutely in love with how well it scrubbed and cleared my pores, leaving my face the smoothest it has been from 1x use of a product in decades. My face was super bright red after using it and it smelt like a mildewed gym bag (seriously), but that’s something I can deal with when the results are worth it. Fast forward to the next afternoon and my skin was back to before, greasy with noticeably clogged pores. I knew it was too good to be true, but decided to save it for the maybe 2x per week (max) when I’m going out in public. I could definitely justify it for that use, even if only for a few hours benefit. Fast forward 1 month and I noticed issues with the actual product - after a whopping 6-ish uses, over half of the product was gone + the grit which exfoliated my skin so well in the beginning was no where to be found. I had half the stick left, but it’s was basically just a charcoal balm. I figured that I paid for it, so I may as well keep it. Then I forgot it in the cabinet and picked it back up at the beginning of this month. It doesn’t smooth the skin without the grit in it, but it did temporarily clear my pores. So I continued with using it 2x per week. I’ve now maybe used it 12-15 times since purchase and it’s completely empty. Not worth the price for the inconsistency, short lived results and the micro-size quantity of product received. I use other products, in the same price range, which produce similar (but long term) results with consistent use and I can easily expect 60+ uses from those products for the same investment. Viral lesson learned.
