1642VLZ PROS - Amazing Pre-Amps! They sound great. Even DI Bass guitar sounds pretty good. - Great Routing Options - Solid Build quality - reasonable price CONS - As other have mentioned, the knobs are slippery. There is no grip to them, making them hard to turn - No centre detent on the faders at unity gain - I wish the entire jack field was on the rear; making cable management neater Otherwise, this is a great replacement for my 33 year old Samson 2242 mixer

I bought this Mackie to replace an older model in our radio station production room. It's perfectly silent...no background static or noise. Compact. Very Nice.

Can't even. This is a fantastic upgrade from anything using rotary volume controls. Obscenely low price too, since it was an amazon warehouse pick or something.
