Amazing value and slicer for sashimi
I did the Costco Salmon thing. * I bought a salmon fillet * Tossed it in my freezer for a week at -10°F * Defrosted the salmon * Portioned the salmon into sections and skinned it * Salt/Sugar cured it overnight * Sliced it up the next day as sashimi and OH BOY did we all enjoy the salmon! This Cheap VG-10 Yanagiba knife is really sharp. I'm not 100% sure that it's actually VG-10, but the edge held up nicely against my polymer cutting board. For the price, I highly recommend picking this up. The only way you can get this any cheaper is to purchase VG-10 blanks and handles from China and grind your own on a belt sander. This saves me a lot of time, effort, and energy.

Greight knife
These are great very sharp knives, intact so sharp I cut myself first time I used them. I first bought the 8” chef knife which turned out to be much larger than I expected so I ordered a 6.5 inch but received another 8” which I returned but will be try again ordering a 6.5. If you are looking for very sharp knives that hold their edge this is a great brand but keep your fingers out of the way.

Really Nice Knife
Very Happy with this knife. Hammering helps food release from blade. Comfortable, well balanced. High quality. The size is very good, cuts, slices, chops, does it all!

very sharp and seems to be well made
If I had known it was made in China I might not have bought it. For being made in China it seems to be well made. Not what you expect from something made in China

Very sharp and good for my daily cooking
I have an 8 inch Damascus chef knife already but I wanted a smaller knife just for the daily task as I felt like my 8 inch blade was too long for my liking. I really like the grip of this knife as it is very comfortable. The steel used it top of the line Damascus which I very much appreciate, the blade itself is extremely sharp and cuts through anything without struggle. I made some Tuna sashimi with this knife and it cut the Tuna with ease, also the the knife passed the infamous paper cut test with flying colors. The overall knife is isn't light or heavy which is great for me as it is very balance especially right on the bolster.

DO NOT BUY THIS! These knives are very low quality and cannot be sharpened.
The front cutting edge of this knife has been irrecoverably damaged by the manufacturer grinding a second bevel. This knife will never be able to be sharpened properly due to this damage. A real yanagiba only has a single flat front bevel and a concave ground rear face. Again, do not buy this knife if you want a real yanagiba for cutting fish. The second bevel is so deep on this knife that you’d have to spend hours/days grinding it down, which would leave you with a much smaller blade and could only be accomplished with specialized equipment. Do not buy this knife.

I moved to a new home last year with a really nice kitchen, so I wanted to spoil myself with a good chef's knife. I'm a good home cook, but I only had second-rate knives before. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but on the other hand I wanted a quality knife that would last. The Damascus steel made the knife pretty enough I thought I'd like it even as decoration on my shelf. I immediately loved this knife once I got it in my hand. I chose the 8 inch size, and find it wonderfully balanced. It fits so comfortably in my hand that it feels good when I shift my grip to chop different foods. I have chopped vegetables with it for hours on end without my hand cramping up or feeling tired. The full tang felt great, and the grip is strong enough I can cut through a tough vegetables or cube stewing meat with confidence. The handle is shaped and textured for a great non-slip feel. The blade is razor sharp and has held up for months. I have used my Keemake almost daily and it has held an edge exceptionally well. The steel is amazing and I love how how food falls back from the face of the blade when it hits the dimpled pattern at the top. My Keemake knife has become my favorite tool in the kitchen that I use every day. I could not be happier with it.

I've been using this set for a month now and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Both knifes are very sharp out of the box and contained no flaws in either finish or construction. The 6.5" is now my daily knife and the 8" is reserved for larger chopping jobs. These knives are a bit on the heavy side that helps promote easier chopping for me, but can get a little uncomfortable after awhile of constant use. I did purchase a second 6.5" for my sister in law as she loved using ours so much and I've recently purchased another Keemake knife from a different collection as a gift. At this price point it is one of the best knives in my collection

I have been really into cooking recently and have been doing my research on knives as it’s one of the most used tools in the kitchen. Don’t let the price of this knife scare you away... you get what you pay for. I bought a $30 knife recently and just comparing these side by side, the quality is noticeable. Now obviously for the price this is expected. The weight of the knife if good which ties to its quality. The design is slick and looks very professional. It is sharp as can be so be careful when using. It slides through paper like nothing with zero effort. I find a poor quality knife will get caught on the paper and cause it to rip rather than cut. I like how it holds in hand and doesn’t cause any wrist problems like I had with past knives. The hammered look makes it unique. Packaging could be a bit better as well as the instructions for cleaning and use but this doesn’t impact the quality of the knife itself so still giving 5 stars. Considering the price and the warranty, I expect this to be more of a investment as opposed to an expense.
