Highly recommend this sturdy utensil.
Beautiful wood and no coating! I rubbed some olive oil into it, until I can buy some coconut oil. I truly appreciate being able to see, they have not put any varnish or other coating on the tool. This spoon chopper works great because it has solid construction, Compared to other lightweight, thin competitors. I love that it feels like its going to hold up to heavy use. So many wooden utensils are thin, light weight, and seem fragile. The Faay brand is beautiful, and the quality is very obvious. I also love the Faay Company story.

Fantastic tool with great customer service to match
This is one of the best cooking utensils I’ve ever used. It’s so versatile and beautiful on top of that. FAAY’s customer service is also top notch. After a few weeks of use, I had a splinter break off so I emailed them and they responded the same day. They sent me a replacement that week and also provided instructions on how to try and save the defective one.

Best wooden spoon
That is a big claim - best wooden spoon. But it is true for me. I have many other big name produced spoons. But this one made by an artisan is well-made, polished, customized for a right handed grip and comes to a slight point to help chop in the pan. Beyond that , buying it helps a small community sustain themselves. So this is a win-win in all categories. So purchase! You will not be disappointed!

Great spoon.
This spoon arrived tonight and is SO much better than me existing wooden spoons. I am updating this after having used it a bit. I have bamboo and older maple spoons that I like, but this Faay teak wood is exceptionally well made. The wood is smooth, and the handles are not just dowels, they have a wider mid-section giving you something to hold onto. They need to be treated with wood butter, to keep them clean and moist, but you will be super impressed. I love the tapered flat end for getting down and scraping the pan, and separating ground meat in my Dutch oven.

Good quality, wood is dense and holds up well to washing. Id buy again. Great for scraping fond and the angle is great.

Quite like this. Smooth wood, good for chopping up meat with the thin edge. Can't help but think the spoon element is pointless though, i'd prefer it to be just an angled thin spatula. The handle is a bit too thick for me too.
