Redmond All Natural Sheep Mineral Supplement - Essential Trace Minerals for Overall Health and Growth Support - 5 lbs

Got this for our 2023 wether lambs. Pretty new to sheep overall, just have our 2 boys. We set this up for free choice when they're in the barn overnight, and they seem to really use it - even when the weather is damp and the minerals get a tiny bit clumpy. I'm not sure how it would perform outside in a bigger mineral tub setting, because ours is completely protected and in an open wall mounted little feeder. Lol, when we first brought the boys home, I had a big salt lick for them, not realizing that sheep don't have a rough tongue (and that they don't really like using a lick). This product was recommended in a beginner sheep group I'm in (and I've had great success using Redmond products for our horses). Our guys are bright eyed, bouncy, and growing like wooly little weeds, so it's got to be helping them get what they need. It does come with a little scoop in the package if you need to individually dose (maybe helpful for pregnant/lactating ewes?), but again, we offer the product free choice for our boys. Obviously, no product is perfect for 100% of situations and animals - but definitely worth trying in my humble opinion, if you're looking for a solid mineral option!
