This book broke and healed my heart at the same time!💗
This book was such an emotional read that it took some time for me to finish it. It explores grief, healing, and the power of love in such a poignant way. The story centers on Savannah Litchfield, who is weighed down by the loss of her older sister and how her sister’s death still casts a long shadow over her life. Clinging to her sister’s untouched journal, Savannah joins a grief therapy trip designed for teens coping with loss, a journey meant to help them heal. There, she meets Cael Woods, a former hockey player reeling from his older brother’s death. Cael is angry and he feels burdened by everything because of his grief. But seeing Savannah, Cael, and the others on the trip lower their guards and begin to open up to one another through shared vulnerability and understanding made me appreciate this book even more. I found it incredibly moving how each character, in their own way, was doing their best to move forward, despite the scars and pain they still carried in their heart.Savannah and Cael finding comfort and hope in each other was one of the most precious things in this book. Their connection feels more like a lifeline, and I loved how the story showed us that healing doesn’t mean forgetting, and that even the most shattered hearts can find light again through love, compassion, and empathy.

Heartbreaking!
I'm still trying to process the emotions that came flooding back when I read "A Thousand Broken Pieces" by Tillie Cole. This book is a companion, a friend, a confidant that walks with you through the darkest corners of grief and loss.Savannah's journey is one of shattering, of breaking, of being forced to confront the harsh reality of life without her sister. Her pain is palpable, her sorrow is real, and her struggle to find a way to heal is something we can all relate to. And then there's Cael, a kindred spirit who understands the depth of her pain, who sees the brokenness in her eyes and reflects it back with his own.

Grief hurt worse when you were alone
⭐:5When you lose someone really close to you, you lose a part of yourself with them too. You want to share all the trivial and beautiful moments with them. The life they left behind leaves you with scars and an empty heart that no one can fill. The book begins where "A Thousand Boy Kisses" ended. Reading the prologue, I knew this book would make me cry hard. Savannah lost her sister at an early age, which deeply affected her emotional well-being. She built an invisible wall around herself that no one could break through.Meanwhile, Cael also lost someone close to him, making him angry at everything and everyone. Once a happy child, Cael transformed into someone who doesn't know what being happy means anymore.Cael and Savannah have one thing in common: their journey of grief. They both lost their siblings, which traumatized them. They are haunted by their pasts, and because they couldn't move on, their parents decided to send them to therapy, where they could share their loss with peers who had gone through the same. This story felt like a personal hug. The author portrays grief, loss, and the healing journey very well. The mention of different places in the book was surreal. My favorite part is where the author beautifully writes about different countries and their beliefs regarding death, especially the description of India. From my side, this book is highly recommended. If you wanna know the pain people feel after losing their loved ones this book is it. I really felt this book. Losing loved ones and then living the life after them is really hard. It takes a lot of courage afterwards and I know the pain.

Sequel to A Thousand Boy Kisses
Tillie came thorugh with this book. She knows how to make me cry so bad I was literally bawling since the prologue. We get to see how life was for them after poppy’s death and the pov of her sister losing her. Cael and Savannah both lost a lot and them finding comfort in each other was just so amazing. I love that they have some sort of pain cuz that really gives them more character and getting to see the journey of their healing. This sequel hit just as hard as the first book and thats not somethibg I see very often.

Heartbreaking!!
🥹🥹🥹⬅️ This is how I feel right now!!!To say I was crying throughout this book would be an understatement. The aftermath of losing our loved ones is heartbreaking to say the least. Thankfully I have never experienced this loss but my heart hurts so much for Cael, Sav and others.“I have come to understand that death, for the sick, is not so hard to endure. For us, eventually our pain ends, we go to a better place. But for those left behind, their pain only magnifies.”—Poppy, ATBK.You can imagine if the start was like this, then how would the whole book be??Well! THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR EVERYONE⚠️ Please read all the triggers beforehand‼️🔹This is not some normal romance but a book about Love, Grief and friendship. It’s about after-effects of losing a loved one and a journey of healing. I was crying all along and I loved this book so much!!! I was able to sympathise with all the characters. Everything was written so beautifully, that I could imagine it happening in front of me. I was so happy to read about my country India in the book and loved seeing it from another person’s perspective. The descriptions of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression are so intense and detailed. I can only imagine how hard that must be to endure and I think only the person who experienced this can write in so much detail. And hats off to Tillie Cole for writing this book because I know and read in the end how difficult it was for her to write this particular book.🔸My rec would be proceed with caution. For myself, I loved this book so much!! I'm so happy for Cael & Savannah because after going through so much they got their HEA🩷Character development of everyone was commendable and not even a single detail was left out. Now that's what we are looking for, in any book.🔹
