The Dr takes all the research and helps compile it together for you. He also helps explain everything he mentions. Worth the read and helped me start my gut repair journey.

A more in depth book with science to back it up. I feel people who don't know much about their digestion would find this hard going. I found it fascinating but have been studying how the body works for many years so I already had some knowledge. The recipes in the back are helpful too.

It's easy to accept the limited science that we learned in school as fact, but we all need to remember that as we peel back the onion (create new ways of discovering the unknown, perform continuing studies, understand that we can not neatly package each body part as a a separate piece--but as a whole), we can see a vast new world inside our bodies. This book is a must read to learn what we eat controls major parts of our lives... Sure, it's also a story that's written in the now and we shouldn't get stuck there, but it's a start to understanding our bodies.
