Were Amazon to allow it, I would give it 10 stars.
I have three dogs. Three large dogs. Three large dogs who like to wrestle. Armed with this information, you shouldn’t have much trouble imagining exactly how my prior 68” TV happened to topple over. It died on the spot. Neither thoughts, prayers, nor TV–CPR could save it. So when I bought a new 68” TV, I decided it should remain safely out of reach of floor–dwelling creatures. The room layout did not lend it self to a wall mount, so that left ceiling mounts. Trouble is, I wanted the luxury of being able to move the TV completely up and out of the way. Most ceiling mounts let you point the TV this way or that, but they don’t let you move them out of the way. So I decided to go with the TOPSKY Electric Adjustable Ceiling TV Mount. I cannot express how pleased I am with it. Were Amazon to allow it, I would give it 10 stars. Picture this: I press the DOWN button on the remote, and my 68" TV, the one you hadn’t noticed because it had been suspended parallel to the ceiling, slowly and carefully angles itself down into perfect viewing position. When I’m ready to stop watching, I push the UP button, and the TV smoothly, quietly returns to its position parallel to the ceiling. So, key points: 1. It works, gloriously well, as advertised. 2. With no stand or cabinet taking up space, it makes the room effectively bigger. 3. Perhaps most important, it keeps the TV safe from rambunctious dogs. Try as they may, and I wouldn’t put it past them to give it their all, my dogs cannot reach a TV mounted from the ceiling. Neither, for that matter, can rambunctious kids. IMPORTANT: Installation requires work and brains. Don’t even think about securing the unit to a plaster ceiling. You’re going to need to anchor it through the ceiling to something solid above it. In my case, that required spending time in the crawl space installing 2x6 beams and then screwing the unit into them. ALSO IMPORTANT: Don’t forget that you’ll need to be able to plug in the TV and the unit. Unless you want to dangle an extension cord across your room, which, I hardly need observe, would be tacky, you’re going to want to install an electrical socket in the ceiling. Don’t be too impressed at my installation skills. I have none. I paid someone who knew what he was doing to handle the work and brains part for me. If you’re not handy—lord knows I am not—here’s hoping you know a good handyperson.

Just What I Needed
Got this for my Bonus Room office ceiling. Perfect. There are some great DIY videos on installing this, always good to watch. My install was a bit tougher in regards to getting the measurements right for the TV and the tilt as I have monitors below it. One thing I did was a first mounted a 1/2 piece of plywood using some deck screws. I wanted the extra side support as other reviews spoke some about "wobble". Not only did I not have that problem but it made the install so much easier. If you look at the second picture, above the yellow sticker you see a hex bolt. It is one I put there and is only 3/4" but it fits into slots on the mount. So I was able to hang it on those before I drove home the main support lags. I think the lags they had would have worked but rather than pre-drill I decided to use 3" "timber-loks". Those are really good bolts that drive well and do not require pre-drilling. They are structurally rated, way over-kill for this but they worked perfect and passed the easy button test. One other thing is for my install I did not want the automatic full extension. This is the default factory mode. There is a video on changing it but it didn't work until I actually pressed the control button, while plugging in the mount, while pushing the reset (BTW my reset button was hidden under a yellow sticker). Good thing I have 3-hands for doing this kind of stuff LOL. Hope this helps you folks who are similarly situated.

Love this Mount! (full mounting process shown)
This is an amazing quality TV Mount, everything is very solid, and remote works great with no lag, it was easy to install with the design they have made and I was able to do it solo. I did want it to sit flush to ceiling in the spot I wanted, so I cut a hole in the ceiling and added studs to the spot I want and reapplied the drywall and mounted the tv mount.(only do this if you know how to add supported studs, you have to secure them),(also I bought black bolts from Home Depot so that it looks better with the mount). I also wired an outlet right behind it inside the ceiling space and made an access port using a 6x6 wall access panel and I drilled into that and put a rubber wire grommet, I pulled an hdmi as well with a 25foot cable that goes into my closet so I can have my gaming console in there out of sight, and no wires are dangling anywhere. I love this mount!

Great ceiling mount
This mount is sturdy. That said, it’s heavy! This is my first motorized mount, but I think it moves smoothly and quickly. Assembly is easy; not much more than the standard mount. Given it’s mounted on the patio, the mount is perpendicular to the rafters, so I needed rafter tie-to-rafter tie support (none in desired location). That was the most difficult part. Assembly alone took about 30 minutes (I’m very good at this stuff), but I needed help with attaching the tv to the mount (which took all of 5 minutes with a friend). Looks great. Great value for the price. I recommend and would buy again. Review and pics after five days of use. Will try to update on longevity later.

I am inclined to leave a review because I read a lot of reviews before buying it trying to get the right product. I hung a 70 inch TV with this. The mounting holes were a bit low on the TV, and I was expecting that I'd have to make some carbon steel monstrosity in order to better center the mount so the ceiling wouldn't be an issue, but upon measuring I didnt need to, all I did was attach a large enough base of 2x8 to the ceiling joints above the drywall ceiling to drop the area enough to get the clearance I needed. Motor also seems to lift and drop the tv perfectly find for now. Who knows how long this will last, but for now, it is perfect!

I was shocked how easy this was to install. I was able to install by myself and used a 65” tv. Goes up and down nice and smooth. A bit slow but smooth action. I’m very impressed with this unit

We live in a 74’ x 16’ mobile unit with limited space and faulted ceilings. If you have limited space I wanna make sure that you have a good spot for the TV. This unit is just simply amazing. You can adjust the angle on it to get all the glare off the TV doesn’t matter matter what time it is doesn’t matter if it’s facing windows it’s just amazing if you don’t have one of these, you should buy one. I don’t know if I can say that enough buy one they’re amazing thank you for creating such a great product.
